Ok so I have been using the vapor king for the past 9 days and it is working great. I saw the Riva on sale from this site so I ordered one as a back up "just in case". Anyway my package came today and it's an eGo..???.. Anyway no big deal, but they said they came with blank carts, but they are moist. What is in them??? Can I vape it??? Can I clean it out??? Instructions are lacking to say the least. Any help would be great

Hi and welcome to ECF. If the cart's are moist, they're not blanks. What's in 'em? Who knows, vape it and find out. It may be good, but most likely not. You can clean them out if you want to. Take a pair of tweezers and pull the filler out. Fold up a paper towel or napkin so you have a bunch of layers. Put the filler in between and squeeze the juice out of them. Personally I'd just vape it to get rid of it. I have yet to see a good instruction booklet with a PV. If you've been reading the forum you probably know how to work it anyway though. If not just ask.

If you got what I think you got - its genuine Riva with misplaced user manual from Ego (I've got same from LF).
My carts are empty.
Your carts must be empty unless it says something like "Mrlbr High" on cart's wrapper.

If there is nothing on cart's wrapper - they are empty, but may look moist because of type of the filler. Just stick your finger in the cart - if nothing left on your finger - they are empty.

True but I still think someone starting out should be looking at a basic cheaper model. Each to their own though

Water under the bridge. An eGo is just a 510 with a longer-lasting battery & slightly higher voltage output.

If there's juice inside, it's the inferior grade that pre-filled carts always come with. Don't risk it. Pull the filler out with a pair of tweezers and replace it with some of these: https://strictlyejuice.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=67_49&products_id=222, or go to YouTube, do a search using "tea bag mod" as search words, then do as any of them instruct.

Riva/eGo/Tornado... all just brand names for the same thing.

Eugene's my home town! I miss it everyday, wish my husband could get a job transfer there so I could go 'home'. Oh well.

I couldn't disagree more. The ego is a great starter kit, and not much more expensive than a good 510 kit. And in fact, for those that are looking to completely replace analogs, maybe that investment is a good thing - like you feel like you've spent the $$$ you may as well give it an honest shot.

But you are right, to each his or her own.

It's funny after wasting about $200 on different kits and inferior equipment because i wanted it to "look like a cigarette" I'm finally about to take the ego plunge myself... Knowing how I am though I will be content with the ego for a month or 2 and I will want to move up to a mod or some new and improved product on the market... I am very thankful I found this place before wasting any more money buying junk and finally getting informed on what is really good on the market and what is just plain junk

Thank you all for your help. They are wet and smell like tobacco, but don't have anything written on the wrappers. I think I'll just clean them out and put new juice in. I am not wanting to risk upping my nicotine levels right now or using unknown stuff.

Rosa- We have been having the nice NW mornings this past week. Cloudy/with mist hanging on the tops of trees. I love this time of year. As for jobs, oh my it is a tough market right now. It has always been tough in Eugene, it is down right ridiculous now.

In response to the cheaper model, I don't think you can really get much cheaper that $33 shipped... This is my second unit and like I said it is a back up in case something goes wrong with my Vapor king. My hubs and I are both using the two batteries the first kit came with. I am 9 days w/o smoking and would most likely break down if I didn't have use of the e-cig.
