So I jumped out of my car in a hurry headed to the clerk of courts.
It didn't cross my mind that I had an XL manual in my coat until I was face to face with the police officer.
"Please empty all of your pockets and walk through the scanner."
So I pulled out the phone, wallet, quarter (for the parking meter), and then the XL with Smilin' carto attachment. I paused for a minute wondering what he'd think of it; then placed it into the bin.
I walked through the gate without setting it off and then he spoke,
"Um sir, I'm going to have to hold onto this."
I thought 'aww crap', and turned to look back. Come to find out, I had a slim winchester folding knife that had gotten wrapped up in my wallet while they were in the pocket. I told him, "sure! I'll pick it up on my way out". Then I grabbed the manual XL, put it back in my pocket and headed into the building
