So i just got my first mod - a Silver bullet. I ordered it with two AW 18650 3100 rechargable Lithium batteries and the charger - which seems to be a trustfire. I read some of the articles at battery university and I want to make sure I'm not missing something.

It seems to me that because these are Li-ion batteries, that I can just throw them on the charger and not worry too much about needing to prime them or cycle them in any strange manner.

Did I read over some amazing insight and miss something?

There's nothing crazy that you need to do.

I do recommend not letting the batteries drain Drain cOmpletely down though. If you can, try to throw them back on the charger when they get to about 25% left. It will make them last longer.

Also don't charge them overnight or leave them on the charger for extended periods of time after the light turns green and they are fully charged. That will ensure they are never overcharged and will help keep them working properly

Advise on the the OP - I would advise against throwing them on the charger. You may miss. :D

As above they don't like being over charged and discharged. You will get into a routine based on your vaping and soon you will find that they will last say 1.5 days from full charge. In that case change them out same time every day.

They may charge a bit quicker if the overall rating of the charger limits the charge per cell, but I doubt you will halve the time so to say.

The vendor I bought my 18650's and a charger from told me that my charger was a 2 channel putting out 500mah total. If you charge once battery at a time it gets 500mah, if you charge 2 batt's at a time they each get 250mah until one is fully charged, then the charger switches off one channel and puts all 500mah into the one that still needs more juice.
