I was a bit worried. I tried dripping the 3 juices I got from Johnson Creek in my RN-4072s and they were bad.
Solstice was great in the cartridge but only after some of the menthol burned off.

I haven't tried the Tundra but the Solstice tastes like I imagine it should. What I find extremely odd is people's reports of VG and thick juices not working. All of mine are VG and Solstice is very thick. The eGo-C was a complete juice hog with it. One tank was almost gone in a couple of hours.
The thinner Valencia is lasting.

The difference between the eGo-C and the 4072 is amazing. It's early yet but I'm very pleased.

So what should I back up first?
I'm thinking obviously plenty of attys. At least one spare battery charger. And a passthrough. That should give me time to order any replacement parts and keep me from having to go back to the 4072s.
Am I missing anything?

I would say at the very least, get a couple of 5 packs of attys (SR and LR) to see which ones work best with different juices. Also, I would recommend getting at least 2 spare batteries and the spare charger that you already mentioned. If you're batteries are Joyetech, they come with a 6 month replacement warranty that should be honored by the vendor.

Glad you're enjoying the eGo-C! I know I really enjoy mine! :D

I think my enjoyment was helped off on the right foot because I've been reading a lot of eGo-C threads here.

I usually don't need to leave home so I was hoping a passthrough would be a good enough emergency spare for now while I stock up on juice and attys.
Maybe by the time it comes to affording a stock of batteries I'll have my roommate switched and there will be a whole spare kit around.

I'm pretty sure the SRs are for me. From what everyone says they're right for the flavors I like. I'm not big on throat hit.

You likely have the eGo-c with the A type atty/tanks. You might want to hold off on 'backing up' until more info comes out on the B type attys/tanks. If they can perfect them like the A's then you may be switching - the B's hold 2x the ejuice as the A tanks.

As far as passthroughs go - suggest getting the new joye one - here - available elsewhere but for a description:

Joyetech logo eGo-C 2 Upgrade 650mAh USB battery/USB passthrough - Joye eGo-C spare parts Heaven Gifts

It's the new 'upgrade' joye battery which besides the choice of 'constant 3.3v or regular volt curve feature' it has:

".... intensified short circuit protection, discharge and overcharge protection, high-safe, high-capacity, high-magnification and high-stability delicated lithium battery..."

Yes they're A's. I think the tanks went fast yesterday because it was a new thing. Today is using a more realistic amount of juice so the A's may suit me fine.
But I've been banging the idea around of Bs as a backup kit. 4 batteries, 2 chargers. Attys wouldn't be completely interchangeable but I'd still have numbers on my side.

So far I'm over 24 hours chain vaping on 2 1000's without either turning blue and I get good shipping time from Cignot so I should be able to put off a passthrough until those hit the shelves.

My batteries almost ran down. The one I was smoking 2 flavors with got to blue and the other took the time to 36 hours before I threw it on the charger over night even though it was still white because I have to go out today.
Considering I wasn't smoking the one that was still white as much as the other and I chain vaped the first day I'm sure these 1000s could see me through a day of solid vaping. If I ever find an all day juice I'll test that theory.

I'm moving into being extremely pleased.
Coming from the leaking, spitting, dry burning, always having to top off, short lasting battery, 3 year old 4072s this is a true advancement in e-cigs.

I'm considering getting a whole other eGo-c kit for the backup plan (battery, charger and atty pack and you're already over half the cost of the kit). I can either keep it on hand for a parts supply or use it to get my roommate off cigarettes.

Thanks for the follow up! I got the 650mAh batteries with my kit and 2 extra for backup because of the size, but I'll probably get the 1000mAh batteries when these eventually bite the bullet. I do have a 1000mAh pass-through on it's way on a slow boat from China that should be here this week, so that will be my primary "at home" setup for a while.

Did you go with the stainless or black matte finish on your kit?

One of each. It helps me know which flavor I'm grabbing.
My plan was to mix them because that looked good with the cigarette holder look of the penstyles but these look better one color.

I can't say I have a preference for either, they both look good. The black finish seems sturdy but the real test will be when I work

Good to know. I got the stainless for my kit and extra batteries, but I got the matte black for the pass-through (with a matching cone). I still have to take my own advise and get an extra charger for backup, and I'll probably order that within the next couple of weeks so I'm covered.

One thing to note about the new protection circuit of the batteries. If you get a bad atty that shorts the battery, the protection circuit will kick in and the battery will not work again until you plug it into the charger. While this is not documented on the Joyetech site, it is mentioned on some sites that sell the AW Li-ion protected battery, so I assume it's the same setup. I had this happen with a bad atty that I thought killed 2 of my batteries until I did the research and plugged them into the charger.

Anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying your new eGo-C and I hope your vaping experience with it continues to be favorable! :2cool:

Yes I shorted a battery testing it and it wouldn't come on. Put it on the charger, it blinked and was ready to go again.

Even if those chargers have nothing to really fail in them they're so small they'd be easy to misplace around here in the mess of cables for everything (and general mess for everything else).
That's another reason I want a passthrough, there's always a USB cable nearby.

Come to think of it, it was probably a post by you on the testing issue and resolution that made me do the additional research on the protection circuit. :D
