hey guys just got my ego-t in mail and started vaping. Here is my first impressions. My comparatives are to a boge 510 cartomizer so keep that in mind.

1. Better vapor production than the carto.
2. Shorter drags. With the cartos i would need to take very long drags sort of multiples to get decent vapor with this a single drag gets you good vapor.
3. Good taste. my first 10 drags are so kind of muffled but that might be due to the primer however i dont taste the primer at all. Taste is very similar to cartos.
4. Shorter life. One tank got me through about an hour, with cartos i could do 2-3 :/
5. Leak problem. I used all PG juice and yes it does leak when you pull it out. and i do same fluid in the atty as well. with cartos i had 0 leakage. Maybe some VG mix will help this.
6. Easy to refill. takes 30 seconds as opposed to 3-4 minutes.

If anyone has any suggestions about the leak issue please feel free to help. Also will provide additional info once i change it up to some thicker juice.

Leaks- weird. I've been sucking down multiple tanks of 100% PG a day, some of it _really_ thin stuff. I've been rotating tanks, having different ones filled with different flavors. Out of 6 tanks, I have one that leaks slightly when I fill it (I fill directly from the ejuice bottles), and the leak is coming from where I damaged the tank when I pulled the cap off the first time, and funkified the plastic along one of the recessed areas on the side, therefore breaking the seal.

You say your leaks when you "pull out the tank".
Are you pulling out the tank with the ego-T vertically oriented, with the tank at the top?

Good stuff guys.

Went through 2 tankfulls already. And the leak problem was not bad as i thought. Just when i remove the tank either to inspect or refill. I would see couple drops drop on to the metal. I would also see alot of condensation on the sides of the tank which I suspect is normal. Also No leaks on the battery connection or the bottom of the atty which is really good.

I do think the atomizer and tanks will need cleaning every 5 tanks or so. (maybe less for tanks). Condensation is present inside the tanks but should not be a big issue if rinsed regularly).

Try not to pull very hard on it. That helps not getting a leak i believe. Also another tip, if you hear crackling sound, try to pull hard on it without activating the battery, this will force some juice out of the tank and into the atty.

I really dont have anything bad to say about this product except for maybe maintenance (coming from cartos). If you are switching from atties then maintenance should be no issue.

my second tank lasted me about 3 and half hours now. still got about 5-6 drops in the tank. (occasional vaping). I think my first tank i just overvaped due to excitement :D

I had a few really bad leaks until I read about removing the hanging chad...little plastic part left over after your atty punches the hole in the lid of the tank. Once I removed the chads, it's been smooth sailing, and I'm quite pleased with my eGo T.

That's funny most have found the opposite. I have 10 tanks of which I have been using 7 of them with no leaks--leaving the chads on. I have 3 tanks atties and I've been using one of them almost exclusively for 3 weeks without cleaning and it is still working flawlessly. I figured if I got 1 month's usage out of an atty I would be ahead of the game compared to carto usage at $8 a week, not to mention a much better flavor from my juices.

YMMV, but I have found that with a easier draw one gets better flavor and vapor production compared to pulling on it too hard.

cheers,

I have been using the ego-t tanks for 2 weeks. I love them. However they seem to sweat while you have them in ther rubber protector. I have learned only fill them as you need them. If you have to fill an extra and take it with you but dont fill alot of them. you will end up with half a tank left!. If your into them Mikeusa.com has good deals on them.

I also dont remove the "chads".

Now, when you are getting the leaks, are you pulling the tank out, with the ego-T vertical, with the tank at the top?
If so, invert.
Hold the thing upside down, with the battery pointed towards the ceiling, the tank pointed towards the ground, and remove. That way when you create a vacuum by pulling the tank, it won't drip down into the atty, and due to the construction of the tank, it won't leak out the mouthpiece end (unless you've really horked it)
You shouldn't get any leakage that way.
There's always a little schmear of juice down in the atty area, but nothing to worry about.

I've had good luck pre-filling tanks, putting the rubber cap back on, and swapping them out- mostly when comparing/contrasting juices. YMMV- as always :)

I'm also on day 15 with the cheap TAWA atty from Ovale. I'm trying to run it into the ground, kind of a stress test, due to the cheap price on them (when/if Ovale is working again). Anyway, day 15. Havent cleaned the thing yet, still vaping like a champ. I'm starting to have second thoughts about previous dogma on atty cleaning & atty life, but we'll see.

What I do know is that this thing is almost ZERO maintenance compared to other methods. For me it was literally: Open mail, fill tank, insert tank, vape. Fill tank/swap battery when needed.

I soooo wish this was available when I first started vaping a year ago. Would have saved so much time, frustration, money, juice, and heartache.

I have had my eGO-T for about 2 weeks now. It worked really great for 3 days and then the vapor really started to go down. I gave it a quick hot water rinse and blow out, then let it dry for a day and it was back to normal. It was my first order so I had just ordered 5 cartridges and 1 atty. I am confident that it is a good product so I just placed a second order with my supplier. No leaking on the carts and no flooding of the atty so far. I have not taken the cap off the cart I just fill it with a blunt syringe that was designed for filling ink jet cartridges. Works great!

I fill mine with the same setup. I haven't had any issues with leaks at all. I also found that I need to rinse out the atties every other day or so to keep them tasting right. I'm right at 2.5 tanks a day and, so far the only problem I've had is it dropping out of my shirt pocket and I lose the little plastic pieces in the mouthpiece. The tank still works fine to the end but I don't feel comfortable filling it back up. Tanks don't cost much and I'm really happy with the way this gadget works :)

I had the same problem. for giggles I took a lighter and heated up that end and so far the little end pieces has stayed where it is supposed to. Melted the plastic a little, but still more that usable.
