Just got my ego in the mail today...A few questions remain. I've done thorough research and what not on the ego. Im not having too many problems, However I have been getting a bubbling noise rather consistently, is this from flooding it? or does that just happen on occasion. Also my juices haven't really been tasting like what they should...any recommendations or insight?

Thanks

If it sounds like milkshake-thru-a-straw bubbling, then yes its flooded, just remove the atty, cup it in a paper towel an blow HARD through the end the cart goes into. Then reattach, prime with a couple of drops of juice and keep vaping.
If it sounds like pop rocks candy (a sort of hard occasional popping/crackling) that's normal - check your atty isnt dry but mine pop wet or dry. They tend to be noisier when they are new.
If the juices taste bland - well it could be that your juice is high in VG. If so switch to PG/VG mixes.
Could be its just not that great a juice lol
Try dripping directly on the atty bridge - remove the cart filler and use the empty cart as a mouth piece (I dont tailpipe, dont want burns lol). Just use a couple of drops of juice or you will flood it. Keep re-applying drops as the taste fades.
If its STILL 'faint' tasting then its likely you need a more robust juice or stronger flavor.

Did you blow out the atty as CaptJay describes when you first got it? If not, you may still be vaping the primer fluid that they put in to keep the atty moist until use. No harm in it, but it doesn't do anything to help the flavor. Blow it out and restart and you should be good to go. Also keep in mind that atties sometimes take a day or two to break in and reach their full potential.

I have had my ego for about a week and prefer it over a 510. Within a few days, I started dripping as CaptJay explains above. For me, this is the best option as far as getting the most flavor. I was taking off the cart and dripping with the empty cart like a lot of people do and if you find that you enjoy that, I fully recommend getting a drip tip.

I still use carts if I'm going somewhere and don't want to be dripping all day but having the option to drip is really nice.

Jusr FYI - an eGo *is* a 510 - the battery part is the eGo but its still uses the 510 atty so its still a 510 lol. I know its confusing but its even more confusing when people try and find the eGo accessories and can only find 510 stuff (although i hear they have made bigger carts and atties specifically for the eGo, but theyd still fit the standard 510)
I'm glad you lov eit - the battery life on the standard 510 does suck, its why i use PT lol
Pt are wonderful btw if you're on your PC a lot.Sooo convenient.

I'm not confused, I just worded it wrong is all. I started with a regular 510 ecig and basically bought an ego batt and a cone. Everything else I use is still leftover parts from my old ecig.

I highly recommend a pass through as well. I got a cheapie from electro-nic-stix for 15 bucks and it is just amazing. I find that if I'm at my computer and switch the cart from the battery that I'm using over to my PT when I'm there it really helps the life of the battery I'm toting around that day.

It really makes you realize how much you sit at your pc!

OK, now I have a question that I couldn't find an answer to by searching so I apologize if this has been asked before. Since the Ego is a 510, will the Ego battery fit the Joye 510 or do I need the whole Ego kit??

The eGo is just a battery and (optional) cone. If you are just wanting to try one out, and you already have a 510 atomizer/cartridge, then all you need is a battery ($15 at Tasty Vapor is cheapest), a cone, and an adapter to charge the eGo battery (cheap and simply an extender as the eGo won't fit in the regular 510 charger. All in all should be able to give it a try for around 25-30 dollars max. Do it! much better vaping experience than a stock 510.

Thanks for clarifying this for me. I am currently using a PT and cartomizer that I just got yesterday but LOVE them!!! I am interested in the Ego for the longer battery life for when I go out somewhere.
