I ordered this just to give it a try
The Better Way To Smoke - 510 Mini Kit, Tobacco

I charged it until the light went off and then gave it a try.

The first carto has hollow air sucking sound and sometimes it will have a real tight pull with no sound.
I get more smoke when its a tight pull, but in either instance its no where near as much "smoke" as a cig.

The other carto has a hollow pulling sound and produces almost no smoke.

I almost have a headache from having to pull on this thing so hard.

This does not seem like the norm based on the youtube video's I have seen.

So can someone enlighten me please?

Just judging by the price of the unit, it might just be a dud, usually a low-end kit will run at least 50 bucks. The rule of thumb I've always heard is that the more it looks like a cigarette, the worse it'll be. But I have a Bloog MaxxFusion, which is a mini cigarette-type PV and it's awesome. Look up review on YouTube or here in the forum. There are lots of options so it's kind of a matter of finding what's best for you.

Don't give up!

Simply put, not all PV's are created equal. You might have to invest a tad more for a dependable system, but it will certainly pay dividends in the end.

Unfortunately, the cheaper alternatives that act as entry-level PV's leave a LOT to be desired; hopefully soon a system will exist that will not turn off those who are "trying before they really buy."

You can get a reliable Riva ego from Liberty Flights for $29.99. Very reputable company, comes with a full warranty and parts and accessories are easily available.

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

I'd recommend the carto deluxe package for $34.99 or get the lite bundle for $29.99.

Order some quality juice for a juice vendor and you're in business.

I've never heard of that company. I usually only order from the registered suppliers on ECF because of the nature of batteries, etc. If I hadn't purchased from someone who had a warranty on their products, it would have cost me an additional $62.00. And I've only been vaping 3 months. A bargin isn't a bargin if it dies in two weeks.

A 510 is good, I have one but the battery only lasts 1-2 hours. Unless you purchase a pcc and additional batteries, I'd go with the ego that I posted the link for. Batteries last about 8 hours.

also make sure your fingers are not covering the airholes between the battery and the atty/cart or cartomizer. That definitely makes it hard to pull. A slow steady longer pull is the best bet for producing more vapor. Also hold it so that the liquid can run down into the atomizer for a min then try it with the slow pull. Maybe none of this will help you if you just got douped and have a crap product..if thats the case..sry
This is not the way it normally is with e-cigs and you shouldnt give up on it...best wishes

Reputable...probably. You would be better off going here and buying this kit. Also, at the bottom of the page, get 2 extra atomizers..these will eventually burn out. I suggest the Joye or EM standard resistance. Go here for cartomizers. I recommend the 2.5ohm Boge cartomizers. Shipping is 2.99. Enter coupon code october20 or ecf to get 20 percent off your order. This kit has been tried and true. Do yourself a favor and get these.

Then I was going to buy some empty boge carto's and juice from vaporbomb[/QUOTE]

I have been lucky. When I got my 510, it worked great. But came a time to order new attys and chose to go for the cheaper supplies. I experienced exactly what you describe: either a lot of noise and very unsatisfactory result or a very hard draw (which was not satisfactory anyway). I went back to the more expensive atty and had no problems...you may want to try buying attys from another supplier.

Besides the quality of you battery, the other thing that noone has noted is that what you ordered is an automatic battery. I know that when I got my first ecig I had an automatic battery and I didn't know about taking a "primer puff" before I actually started trying to vape it! That is one of the reasons that I changed to a manual battery. Just push the button and start vaping! :vapor:

Thanks for the input guys, I'm just not sure about using something as big as the a riva or go go.

I let 2 other ppl hit it and 1 said meh, not enough throat hit compared to a cig and the other said you have to pull on it a lot more then the one her friend uses. (her friend bought a $50 starter kit from some gas station. everything is prefilled and has atom/cart's and it's a "menthol version")

Riva /EGOs -- not that big.
And most of the people that start with a cig size model--go up to a Riva type PV in a few weeks it seems anyway.
Longer battery life and more options with the bigger batts.
For 30$ can't be beat (get 2 units in kit) :)
TH and "Pull" will vary a bunch with atty--cartomizer--or even juice selection.

It's about 4 1/2 inches long. The size of a sharpie. That's big?

well compared to a cig yes, compared to a cigar...no.

Well my disatiscation with this...is it strictly because the carto sucks? Ie if I got a boge carto would it make a difference or does the battery affect it as well?

Are you talking about the one you have or the one you're thinking of purchasing?

I really can't say because I'm not familiar with your pv so I don't want to give you bad advice. If it's an actual 510, a boge cartomizer should fit. Then you can get juice you like and fill it yourself. If it's a super hard draw, the cartomizer won't really matter. My mom had one that you practically got a hernia trying to take a drag. It'd make your eyes cross.
