hello everyone i just got my first ecig 2 days ago and i have a few questions and need some help also. first of all i have a victory ecig i got it from groupon for 24.99 but it retails for 59.99. im happy with the amount of vapor and the taste but here is where it goes wrong for me. its a two piece ecig and for some reason it makes my throat very dry kind of like a itchy burning sensation, then it makes my chest feel like i smoke 10 cigs at once it doesnt hurt but it makes my chest feel tight. can anyone tell me whats going on, and is it o.k. for me to add a few drops on vg to my cartimozer to dilute it or is this something you can only do with e-liquids

What mg juice are you vaping? The juice may be too strong for you. How much did you smoke? What brand and how many a day? You have to drink a LOT of water when you vape. The juices dehydrate you. I know I coughed for a month when I started vaping and had a sore mouth and numb tongue...couldn't taste anything for a long time. DRINK, DRINK, DRINK water.

I'll let someone else answer to the VG issue since I don't know the answer.

Congratulations on making the switch and welcom to ECF!!

I'm not familar with your system and I doubt that you'd have much luck diluting whats already in the carto, but I'd say you're probably on the right track as to what's going on. Drink plenty, and I mean PLENTY of water! One thing that I found that works for the throat and heavy lungs is alternate your draws between inhale and no-inhale. You'll get your nic-fix by holding the vapor in your mouth and exhaling through your nose better than inhaling anyway, so give your throat and lungs a rest every now and then until you either adjust to your juice, or you can make an adjustment to your juice.

Remember . . . lots of water!!!!!! And BEST WISHES!!

Give yourself a bit of time. You've just stopped putting approx. 4000 harmful chemicals into your body that it's used to getting from smoking cigarettes. Not only that, you've introduced into it vaping. Right now your going through detox from smoking and the introduction of vaping to your body and brain. Make no mistake, this can take days even weeks for you to get used to. As was stated above, drink plenty of water. I can't stress that enough.

Learn to use your PV. Try to inhale into your mouth, hold it there for a second, then inhale into your lungs. A slow steady inhale rather than the short quick type we would do with a cigarette. There is a learning curve and ECF will be here to help you over the rough spots.

the name of the company is called victory ecigs, and they sent me high menthol cartomizers i will drink more fluids but another question is how can i find cartomizers that fit this battery, my cartomizer has the male connection and the battery has the female connection anyplace where i can get empty or already filled with vg juice

That may be a proprietary ecig and you have to buy their cartos for it. They do sell them here: ACCESSORIES

I see they don't give a mg strength on their cartos. It's hard to know what you're vaping. They also don't say what kind of connections they use, so that makes it impossible to know if a 510 or 808 would work on the battery. You may want to think about getting an eGo-T kit or a nice Riva kit.

which one would you guys say would be the simplest out of the kits out there and what would be the best thing to do when your chest feels tight i usually vap for no more than like ten minutes is that too much?

I have been doing alot of research over the last few days and from what I can tell.... eGo with Stardust mod seems to be about as easy as it gets and best expirence for the cost... Yes I know everyone always seems to push the eGo but I think there is a reason for it.... its solid and reliable and the Stardust mod does away with the leaking issues you hear about from time to time. Also, get a genuine eGo... I have read a few things on non genuine ones not too long ago having very delicate batteries and thats not good.

As far as the tighe chest goes... only thing I can think of is slowing down. Wether that means more time between vapes, more time between vape sessions, or taking slower vapes, holding it in your mouth for a moment before inhaling, and then exhaling through your nose. Its different for everyone and its just a matter of what works for you. Furthermore as you have already read, there is an adjustment period... you may juat have tightness in your chest for a while until your body adjusts... your lungs are not used to vape and its probably started to try and process all the gunk from analog smoking to get it out of your system. Of course as with anything... keep an eye on it... if your discomfort becomes significantly worse it may be in indicator that something either with your vaping or your vaping supplies may need to be evaluated for change. Keep posting your expirences and the community will always be here to try to give advice to steer your expirence to where you would like it to be. (c;
