Hey All! I'm stoked I finally got my 510 today! I also received my juice, I ordered Menthol and chocolate and mixed them right off, and let me tell you I LOVE IT:hubba:!!! It tastes great! So my analogs have been put up,(I'm keeping them around as security for a while) and I don't think I'll be picking them back up again... One problem though, When analoging, you lit a smoke, and smoked until it was gone... well now I don't know what to do. I feel like I'm constantly taking a hit off the digital. Does or did anyone else have this problem? Is it the newness of it, and will I get on a "smoking" schedule on my own?
Thanks in advanced, and any tips, tricks, or advice is greatly appreciated.

I can't give any advice on stopping that cause I do the same thing. I pretty much vape all day every day. I may take 15 or 20 minute breaks now and then but from the time I get till I go to bed I'm vaping. Been doing it for nearly 8 months that way. I'm not sure it's really a problem since I feel 100% better than I did when I smoked cigarettes for 30 years and havn't had one in the same 8 months.

I got my 510 last Friday, I also kept some analogs around as a secruity blanket I caved in to have one once on day 3 and found it disgusting (after 20 years as a smoker thats saying something). I was also constantly using my 510 for the first oh I would say 4 days now I am more on the schedule I was when I was smoking so it probaly is the newness of the 510.

But one of the questions is do you feel like you are satisfied after you use the 510 because I used some lower nic mg and it just wasnt doing it for me once I went up to the higher stuff it was better.

One suggestion I have as another newbie is once you feel comfortable you try out the pyramid tea bag mod it works wonders for the carts.

Well the things I notice as a difference are mainly you get longer between topping off you can fit way more ejuice in there I get 16 drops in a cart now.

I get a better hit and I think it really brought out the menthol flavor that I use.

You can see the videos on how to use this mod here

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartridge-mods/34401-ptb-plug-full-510-cart.html

you will need to read through the whole thread as the method is finalized.

It's all a matter of juice flow. The fiber in the cart has to hold the juice supply, and at the same time allow it to flow to the atomizer to give you the required vapor. Since everyone is different, some don't get enough juice flowing, while others get too much.

The best bet is to experiment with a cartridge or two and use different materials to see which is best for you.

You can try the Tea Bag method, and if it doesn't work, you can have a Tea party. I've been using the Fluval Aquarium Filter Material, which suits my needs just fine. Others are using the Poly Fill material from Walmart. Different strokes for different folks.

cincy, oh
I got my 510 Friday afternoon and it definitely felt like christmas opening it up. I went through the battery every 1 1/2 hours or less and was trying all 4 of my liquids and all their combinations. Today I still hit it a few times every 10 minutes or so, but not as long as it took to smoke a cigarette. I think as long as your juice is strong enough to kill your nic cravings, then you'll only vap when you want to... which may be all the time for some people. The reason we limited ourselves when smoking from the pack was because it was bad for us. Since that doesn't apply as much, we can go back to enjoying hits whenever we want. Least that's the way I feel.

Since it's an entire new experience, there's no "wrong" way for you to do it. Maybe you will settle into a pattern. Maybe vaping all day is your pattern. It certainly seems to be mine.

The only things to keep in mind are to drop your juice strength if you start feeling bad and to look into mixing your own juice. As awesome as the 510 is you may also want to look into making your second model be something with extended cartridge life for out-of-the-house vaping.

I too wondered the same thing! - my first few days with my 510, I was like an amputee with an artificial leg... I didn't walk anywhere without it!

I then tried a higher nic juice and found myself vaping just as much and getting nauseated. So I went back to a lower level and really paid attention to what I was doing.

I realized with analogs I lit up, took lungful after lungful until I was at the filter. 20 min later I was doing it again. Now with an e-cig I take smaller hits, don't inhale as deep, and actually savor my exhale - I actually enjoy the flavor in my mouth, nose and throat.

On day 3 my wife teased me saying, "...you fondle that e-cig more than our [pubescent] son plays with his dink..." Today she teased me that "... you know you went to the bathroom without your 'little friend'...." noting that I never visited the "reading room" without a cigarette.

At work I used to "clock out" over 30 min a day for smoke breaks. This week I didn't clock out once. Just took a few hits at my desk discretely and continued working. Even my boss noticed I wasn't breaking like I did. So, therefore "e-cigs make you more productive at work!" ;-)

Overall, I have noticed that I am putting it down a little more, and not actually panicking when my battery runs out and one isn't fully charged.

Now, just wait until (like I did) you run out of liquid :-x - and no ready supply. I learned my lesson real quick on that! I will NEVER again be in the position of not having enough on hand!
