...and all I can say is OMG! What a difference!!!!

Upgraded from a Joye 510, which I'd been using for a couple of months (before which I'd done 6 months of nicotine gum; smoked for 43 years). The KGO - with a Smoke Tech 1.7 ohm cartomizer - is a totally different (and better) experience!!! It's amazing!! It's fantastic!! It's incredible!! This is what I had imagined vaping would be like before I got the Joye. Then, when I started in with the Joye 510, I was pretty disappointed, because all I did was charge batteries and suck my brains out on the darn thing for very little return. Now I know what "throat hit" really is!

There are only 2 drawbacks at this point. First, it's pretty huge, and I'm going to look like I'm smoking a stogie, but I can deal with that. But the other thing is, my master plan was to gradually cut down on my nicotine content and eventually quit altogether. But this is so good, I immediately started having second thoughts about that. :vapor: I guess once the initial novelty and excitement wear off, I can get back on track (maybe...).

Thats why so many of us try to guide people past the slim analog lookalikes. It just isn't the same. The battery life alone is worth the price of switching from an analog lookalike to a fat batt.

After a while you won't really care much about the look of it. People will get used to seeing you with it and no one will really care.

As for nicotine. Well you could vape the same amount of juice and just cut the level of nicotine strength. Or keep a carto with some zero nic handy for when you just want the feel and flavor of vaping.

Maybe I'm rare but I did not start to vape as part of a plan to quit nicotine. I like my nicotine and I was just looking for a safer way to get it...

I like my nicotine, too, obviously - I smoked for 43 years, lol. It's not nicotine per se that I want to quit. I understand - and agree with - the whole concept of harm reduction, but can't help but wonder what it would be like to be totally freed from my addiction/habit. At this point, though, I'm happy to be free of all of tobacco's toxins and carcinogens.

Congrats on your new Kgo. I also got my new Kgo today and I cant wait to try it out. I am waiting for it to charge as I type. I also have been using the Joyetech 510 for a few months and picked the Kgo to move up to. I did not however buy a carto to go with it so I have to order one today. Based on your post about the smoketech 1.7 I may order one of them with the Vision I want and try them both out. I started vaping to quit smoking but I love my nic too much and now that I found vaping I dont think I will ever smoke another real cig but I dont think I will be putting my pv down any time soon... or ever ;)

You might find that after you have totally lost any desire for cigarettes, cutting down the nicotine is not all that difficult. I vaped 24mg for two years and it never even occurred to me to lower the nic content of my juice. On a lark, I made 18mg. juice (I DIY). I didn't even notice the difference! I don't vape any more than I did before. I don't get cravings. It's been a couple months and I've even dabbled with 12mg. I really think I could have done this a long time ago, but I was in no particular rush to cut out nicotine. Cutting nicotine consumption in half would be a million times easier than cutting the number of cigarettes smoked in half.

You get used to the size after a while. In fact I am getting used to the size of my provari. The times I use my Kgo I'm thinking dang this thing is small.

If normal cigarettes were instead the size of a toothpick then people would complain about an e-cig the size of an actual cigarette.

The kgo is pretty easy to carry around in my pocket. Plus you really don't want it to look like a cigarette because you can get away with it easier when using it in banned smoking areas.
