So I've been looking online for cases for my KGO, but all I can find are tacky zip ups and bags. Anyone have any mcgyver cases for their KGO's?

Side note:
Im using a .44 magnum bullet case for my 510 cartos and it works flawlessly. $2.44 at walmart.

In public I keep it in a hard glasses case or in the side pocket of my purse (it's a backup out of the house so I don't need instant access). At home it sits in a candle holder with other PVs. If I'm cleaning or cooking I wear it in a lanyard. OMG. I wear a PV lanyard

I like this one. vape without taking it out of the lanyard.

Third: You said, "510 is 510 no matter how you slice it." Actually, that is not entirely correct. In a way, it's like half correct... :) I'm kind of geek about this stuff, so I just made this little graphic to explain it...
You are a bit geek-y about that stuff, but I found it very interesting to read and learn more so keep up with the geek-i-ness!!!

@ SouthernBelle -

Well, you're in luck - the standard Echo-E dual Coil available from MtnVapor.com is a "mid-resistence" coil specially designed to not screw up standard batteries. It is 2.2 - 2.3 ohms, so a little lower than normal, but a little higher than Low Resistance carts...

...and yes, you are totally correct to be careful, the circuitry on most EGO, KGO, IGO, VGO is no rated to drop below 2 ohms, where you get the dreaded "Flickering LED of Imminent Doom" as your circuit board fries itself.

I personally run the 2.2ohms on a standard EGO battery clone (not Joyetech) all day, and have never had the led flicker even once. But, if that level still worries you, the ECHO-E single coil is available from nhaler.com at 3.2ohms...

...and I will say this, because the coil is wider, it still provides a very warm and full vapor at 3.2ohms. In some ways, it is a bit of a mystery to me, because I've tested it and it is definitely 3.2ohms, but it puts our one of the best puffs of all cartos I've ever tried...

Now, the only LR ECHO is the 808 fitting (it won't fit your IGO, so you won't need to worry about accidentally getting one), they built a special LR battery for it, and adjusted the fitting to make sure 510 EGO style users don't accidentally use it and fry their batteries with it. They really are a great company to tend to the small details like this!

Great thread!
I'm ordering a couple kgo bats to replace my aging ego's. I like that they come off the charger at a higher voltage. I've changed my approach - instead of finding the right carto for my battery, I'm finding the best battery for my carto. The echo's are that good.
Sooo - is hoosier the best source?

I've got to agree Michael, I'm doing the exact same thing as you,
and feel the same way about 'true voltage' batteries. It's like, the 3.7's just aren't enough to really get me the puff I like, and 5v isn't necessary for the 2.2v Echo's... But right around 3.9 is the sweet spot for my taste. I like that the unregulated batts give me the ability to get those hotter puffs when I want them...

...and I've done the same thing, I don't even mess around with atty's and tanks and ce's or little 808 carto's anymore, I just look for the right battery to mate up to the echo cartomizers.

I use the dual coils for regular everyday 'all day' use and keep some of the singles around for when I want something a little lighter... I'm glad I'm not the only one who has made this discovery!

madjack, I will contact him. I've heard good things about his store. I looked on his site and realized he may not have what I'm after -- a 650 sized battery. I'm not sure kgo makes one. Think I'll check out a Riva. Some say it's a 750mah but inmo, there are a lots more ecig battery component makers than actual battery manufacturers. I'd bet the actual batteries are much the same power in all the ego 650 class assemblies. They're really just mods.

Vape a KGO side by side with an eGo or Riva. You'll see the diff. The Kgos are 1100 mAh not 650. An eGo will give me 4-5 hours while a KGO is still going into day 2. Here's a KGO -v- 18650 3.7 batt demo. This is the same $20+ batt I use in my Silver Bullet mod.

Breezesmokes.com and DarkCityVapor.com carry KGOs. I've purchased from all three with great service/fast shipping.

FYI - MountainVapers echo dual coil doesn't fit on KGO, but does on eGo.

Also, I need helps =[ I bought the DCT from madvapes and love it, cept I can't use it. I did fill it up with my least fave juice cuz I wasn't sure if I'd end up wasting it all trying to fill it or something...but when I vape it I get an instant headache, I mean INSTANT. Should I try a non dual coil carto in there or something?

It's so pretty and I wanna love it cuz it's so big and handy, but I'm hoping it's just the liquid givin me a headache and not the equipment itself. PS, I'm using it on my KGO.

TIA!

Hey Nubee, how long did you have to charge your battery first before you used the Kgo? Argh, I can't wait 8 whole hours!
Sandy

They usually come with some charge or almost fully charged. Today I got another KGO in the mail and it charged in under 15 mins...I don't remember how long the first set I got was....sorry :(

The Echo-E cartos fit the KGO and the eGo. At least on mine.

Actually, they fit on the new SLB KGOs just fine, for some reason on the first version they don't fit. Doesn't matter much to me as I don't like them at all....the proprietary rubber whistle tip is so blech to me. LOL

Now that I have had my Kgo for a couple of weeks, I have a couple of questions about trying new juices. I don't want to waste my dual coil cartomizers for testing new juices.

1. Dripping with the atomizer that came with it is awful. How do I do it without getting a mouthful of juice through the drip tip?
2. Can I just use the cartridges that came with the kit? If so, how do I clean them first? In vodka?
3. Any other suggestions for trying out new juices?

Happily vaping,
Sandy

I just want to say that this is one of the most delicious threads that I've ever read in these forums (and I've read so many...). I'm very grateful to windwalker, for accounting for at least part of the ecstatically entropic infrastructure here (it's all so brilliantly unmanageable nowadays), and for his fine Asian aesthetics. If I weren't old and withered I'd propose.
Something.

I just ordered a KGO (lord knows which one, and I don't want to at this point), and am now confused, because after making that purchase I scurried over to Hoosier (where I did not buy it) to buy a big handful of the SmokeTech 1.5 ohm dual coil cartos that everyone in another thread (including someone named Brent, who seems to be in charge of Hoosier) declare to be The Right Thing. What does this mean?

Now I want to buy Echos, even though this month's ecig-stuff buying orgy is supposed to have exhausted itself, but can't tell what ohmage (dual) will transport me to Xanadu without frying my motherboard. Please don't talk to me about electricity with numbers in it. It wilts my plum blossoms. Just can anyone clearly tell me why Brent says in writing right there on the site that anything higher than a 1.5 on a KGO voids his warrenty, and if I should tut tut that and discover Echos at... 2.7??? windwalker? And did I see you once or thrice over at the Hidey Hole?
