Helloo all, just got in my riva today and am waiting expectantly for the batt to charge, only 7 more hours..:D

Anyway, the batt I have charging is not showing any light from the LED,,thinking this is right,I have it screwed in all the way into the charger, and charger is red.I unscrewed it slightly out of the charger and it turned green..That has me confused,so I just screwed it back in all the way and itis charging as I type this..I am just wondering what is going on with it..

Also,do ALL these batts need charging before using to get the longest life??when I plug in a batt to charge, should the blue led blink or anything??
Thanks in advance and am looking forward to stopping analogs after 30 years..Starting when this batt charges..:toast:

Hi, welcome and congrats on getting your riva.

It's been awhile since I've used batts, but it seems that you may your charger may be screwy. If it's red, it's charging, green it's done. If it takes 7 hours to charge it - wait the 7 hours and try out your batt. If it works then it should be good. If not - screwy charger.

Also,do ALL these batts need charging before using to get the longest life??when I plug in a batt to charge, should the blue led blink or anything??

All batts should be charged. The thing is you shouldn't let your batts drain completely. When you notice vapor production is slowing down, charge the batt. More wear and tear on rechargin' completety drained batts.

Thanks in advance and am looking forward to stopping analogs after 30 years..Starting when this batt charges..:toast:

Hope this helps. In no time at all, you'll be a vapor junkie like the rest of us. Showing off your mods, sharing DIY recipes, hoarding nic juice, stockpiling attys and batts.:D

K3vin,
Besides the Red & Green L.E.D.'s on the charger, when you first screw in your battery, you should see the white L.E.D. on your battery flash a couple of times which indicates power/charging. If you do not see any lights, the charger is either defective or your AC input is absent. If you have a voltmeter check to see if you have 110-120VAC. That's the end from the wall into your charger. If that is good, now check the D.C. output of the charger.

When your charging issues are straightened out, yes it is good advice to initially charge the battery to the recommended time. This will ensure long battery life. My initial charge lasted for 3 full days of heavy vaping. After that, expect to get at least 1 full day.
