I just received my Protege from Puresmoker yesterday. I'm loving it, especially because I'm no longer tied to my computer with the USB PT. My question is - Do you burn through e-juice quicker because of the higher voltage?
I seem to get that burnt flavour so much quicker. I'm dripping twice as much as I used to. I guess it makes sense when you compare it to a regular battery but I was using the PT pretty regularly and wouldn't that be similar in power? It can't be the primer liquid, it's not a new atty. Anybody else have a similar experience? Anything I could do?

I am not an expert, but I don't think you burn through the juice faster since it is the same, not higher, 3.7V, voltage as reg batteries. I believe the only difference is that the battery lasts longer than the regular batteries that come with the e-cigs so you end up refilling more.

You may be using more juice because the vape will be more consistent and lasts longer than on a regular battery.

I got my Protege BECAUSE it is not higher voltage. The higher voltage changes the throat hit and harshness of vaping and I do not like that. I prefer the "reg" taste of 3.7V.
The Pass Throughs actually burn at 5 Volt from everything I know.

I do not drip, I have used the 801, 901, 510 atomizers, and the 808 and GreenCig cartomizers on my Protoge and I have not had any problem with burnt flavor/taste.

Have you tried switching atomizers to see if the burnt taste changes?

Actually a fully charged battery on a protege runs around 4.2v untill you use enough of the charge for it drop lower. .5v more is notibly better imho.

I have noted I go through juice faster, as it burns it off faster. My friends with protege's have told me the same thing.

It is giving more consistent vapor. The more vapor per hit = more juice used to produce said vapor. This is normal and to be expected.

If you drip it will probably be more noticibly pronounced than if you use filled carts. On a stock 510 I would only drip 2 drops for a vaping session (smoke break). On same atty on protoge I drip 3 drops to have one vaping session. Obviously I am using 50% more juice, ymmv depending on your habits.

The up side to this is some could possibly lower the nic content so the cost of the juice may equal out, either way juice is cheap compared to analogs.

If the vape is more consistent I am guessing it is more satisfying for you, so enjoy :)
