Ok it would help if I read the directions- but I was too excited to try out my new tank!!!!
Problem: Burnt taste, little/no vapor.
Cause: The atomizer is dry. Liquid is failing to wick to the heating coil resulting in a burnt metallic or plastic taste and little or no vapor being produced.
Solutions: Make sure you have liquid in the cartridge and that the bottom cap has been punctured by the wick. Also make sure that the cartridge has been pushed all the way in and that it sits flush with the atomizer. If everything is put together correctly then there are a few other things that can be done to solve the problem, however the absolute worst thing you can do is try to work the bad taste out by continuing to hit the device while it's dry. This will singe the wick and once that happens nothing will ever get that taste out.
-Draw on the device a few times without pushing the button. This should draw liquid out of the cartridge and get it where it needs to go.
-Gently spin the cartridge around in the atomizer without pulling it out. Sometimes the flap on the punctured cap can cover up the opening in the wick, and simply repositioning the cartridge will solve the problem.
-Remove the atomizer from the battery and carefully put a few drops of liquid into the hole in the bottom screw joint. This jump-starts the wicking process by soaking the wick from the other side. Reassemble the device and see if this has helped.
-If the burnt taste persists, but the atomizer is producing plenty of vapor, then the wick has probably been singed. That taste may or may not work itself out over time depending on how badly the wick has been singed.
Ok I didn't have it in far enough- Now the vapor tastes great!!
This is my first day of use so I will repost at a later date and let you know how well it is holding up.
FYI Totally wicked is selling megatanks for the SD $19.99 and regular tanks for $16.99 (no converter just replacement tanks)
