Been smoking vape for about a week and a half, when I hit it it has some weird burning taste. After I hit it i feel it in the back of my throat and in my nose a little. A very unpleasant taste. Is it the flavoring or my cig? I have a mango, and strawberry banana flavor from Reckless and Imperial Hookah. My cig is an eGo-T. Ce4 clearomizer and idk what the battery is.

Anyone have a suggestion for the nasty taste?

Do you at least gave 2 CE4's for the different flavors? These things are so cheap that if there's ever any unpleasant issues like this, just start using another 1 for the time being. They're literally not much more than $1 on ebay, and your best bet is just buying like 10 of them. You don't wanna be relying on a single 1. I use the same clearos and have very rarely experienced a burnt taste. If the juice gets low, or you usually take long puffs, then you'd be more likely to experience a burnt hit. But it's something that should dissipate over time. Or you could also clean it out w/ hot water or alcohol, and then dry burn the coil, if there is some residue on there affecting flavor. But again they're so cheap, that it's just not worth fussing over 1 too much. With light usage they should last a while, and that's what I do w/ at least 5 in rotation at any given time.

I dry burn as long as it helps. At the point that I'm doing that too frequently or just not getting the vape I like, I simply replace or rebuild the coil. Really easy to do in a protank, mini protank or evod, cleaning is also really easy since they come apart. And they all use the same coil. I like the 2.2 -2.4 ohm coils myself. 1.8 is good, it just heats up a little fast for my taste/juice. Protanks are made of pyrex, so they're safe for all juice.

Youtube has some great info on cleaning protanks.

Just did the "dry burn" trick. Worked like a charm :)
anyone know how long I can use the dry burn on these things before I need a new one?

And regarding the protanks how would cleaning that work? Cant be as much of a hassle as this thing lol
and would I need to purchase an extension?

You can completely dismantle a protank. This allows you to clean everything very well. The coils are replaceable or can be rebuilt if you want to buy wick and wire. This isnt totally necessary as coils are reasonably inexpensive and seem to last a good bit. As to the extension that will depend on your battery.

I've been using the mini protank 2 for a bit now and love it to death. Even on a straight eGo battery it works nicely using a 1.8 ohm coil (comes with a 2.2 and a 1.5ish coil in the box) and you can change the tips on it to what ever suits you.
