hmmm; I don't have one myself, but looks to me like the glass tube pulls/pops off the bottom, not unscrew.

This seems like it doesn't make sense, but it works. The thread pitches between the tank to top section, coil head to top section, and coil head to base are all different. What this means is that sometimes you can lessen the pressure on one threaded section by tightening another. Hold the glass tank and slightly tight the top section to the tank (about an eighth of a turn). The grab the top section and hold the base below the airflow ring and unscrew it.

The next time you assemble it, the only joint that needs to be "tight" is the coil head to base. The glass tank seals really well on both ends so they just have to be lightly seated.

From what you said there, I'm wondering if there's some reverse threading ?

On mine, the base is not threaded; what holds it together is the threads at the top of the coil mating with the threads inside the center metal piece. The base is just a push-on, unthreaded. I agree, though, the threading on these things is a royal pain.

Ok. to set things straight. An authentic Aspire Nautilus and Mini Nautilus the atomizer screws into the base hardware, hand tight and no more. then the upper hardware screws into the glass, again hand tight and no more. Last but not least the bottom hardware screws into the upper hardware inside the chimney portion of the upper hardware.
If it is hard to unscrew make sure you grab the knurled portions of the hardware. they are standard threads, NOT reversed threads. So righty tighty, lefty loosy. The glass is pyrex and pretty sturdy at the top.

Notice the threads on the top part and the bottom part of the coil in the picture. Also, note the threads in the bottom hardware

Sorry if I confused things. The base has threads where the coil goes. But it doesn't have outer threads; the glass is just a press-fit over the plastic piece.

I don't know there are threads on the top of the coil head they thread into the chimney to hold tank together. If you just Press Fit the tank the slightest nudge will knock the tank off the base=juice Spill Look down inside the wide part of the chimney when its apart, there are threads inside!
