Hey Zelo, welcome to the cool side, haha.
Starting off vaping can be overwhelming especially with all the choices are there and especially when you see people talking about modding. Then with all the different suggestions people make with different batteries and flavors you have to keep track of all the different websites. It can really be a pain and for some, it makes them not want to even get into it.
It took me a long while to find a reliable one stop shop kind of place and a good amount of cash to find the set up that is the easiest to use and best overall experience. The suggestion I am going to make for you will be somewhat on the expensive side (around $150) but once you spend that initial amount, you'll only have to spend about $30 either once a month or every other month depending on how much you vape.
The website I would suggest (been using this for 1.5 years and only had one mishap where they sent me the wrong item, but they resolved it quickly and also sent me some free juice as an apology) is vapor4life. Before you order from them though, become a member to their website and also a mailing member because every few days they send you coupon codes for discounts. Typically it's around 20% off, but every now and then it goes up to 50%. (im not allowed to post links for some reason so just add a .com after vapor4life in the links. Also, where ever you see a "," in the link, replace it with "/")
So the first thing you want to do is get a charger for your battery. I like the wall ones as opposed to the usb ones because they seem to charge faster. However, you can get the usb for more convenience by using it at your computer. Here is the wall charger. vapor4life,store,vapor-king-slim-charger-white
Next, you want to get a battery. The one I highly suggest is the dial a volt. vapor4life,store,dial-a-volt-variable-voltage-ecig-manual
This is a good one because you can change the voltage which will increase or decrease the amount of vape that comes out along with the throat hit at will. I know it is thicker than a regular cigarette and it's more like a cigar, but you will quickly ignore that fact. Also, it's worth spending the extra $4.00 for the large version (skip the small and medium) because it keeps the charge for a lot longer. The large version is about 4.5 inches long. I would suggest getting 2 batteries so you always have one charging that way you always have your ecig available without having to wait for your battery to charge. From 0% to 100% you are looking at about 7-8 hours to charge. One final tip on the battery is go with the manual version as opposed to the automatic ones. While it's nice to not have to push a button and just take a drag of it, they don't seem to work as well. I've gotten 5 batteries in the time I've been using the site and the manual batteries are still going strong whereas the auto ones pooped out on me. If you are worried about the button being pressed while the battery is in your pocket, just press the button 5 times and it'll turn off the battery, hit it 5 times again and it will turn back on. The button will flash a couple times to let you know you did it right.
Now to make vaping super easy, you should get a tank. I would get two of these because it's nice to have two different flavors easily accessible. Go with the 3.5 ml tank instead of the bigger one because for one, the 3.5 ml tank is pretty much the same diameter as the battery itself and two, the bigger ones look weird. vapor4life,store,ecig-tank-35ml. Now, the reason I say to get these is because when refilling your e-cig, all you have to do is push down that coil thing in the middle, push it to the side and then just fill up the tank by putting juice on the outside of the middle metal cylinder. It takes like 3 seconds to refill it as opposed to "dripping" your juice in the cotton stuff. It's also much less messy.
Next you need to get replacement cylinders for your tanks. These typically last two weeks before the juice starts to clog it up and you need to replace them. It's very easy - just push it out of the tank and then slide the new one in. Whenever using a new one, you should drip in about 40 drops of your juice into the cotton inside of them along with putting the juice in the tank on the side the cylinder as previously explained. Then you want to let it sit for about 5 minutes before using it so it has time to be fully absorbed by the cotton. I would pick up like 6 of these. vapor4life,store,dual-coil-replacement-cartomizer-808-thread
The next item is completely optional, but I highly suggest it because it makes the feel of the set up more enjoyable. I've had other people try them and they all agree - this item is called a drip tip. Just because it's called drip tip, it doesn't mean you drip juice in it. Instead it's a "mod" to the part that goes in your mouth as you suck on it. If you look at the tank you'll see a clear tip at the top of it and this replaces it. They are well worth the money because you want to vaping to be a good experience or you wont stick with it. vapor4life/store/ming-vase-drip-tip
Finally, you have the juices. Everyone has preferences as to what they like and I tend to go for the sweet flavors. When I started I was obsessed with trying to find tobacco flavors but when they make the flavor, they try to mimic the smell of non burning tobacco so it never tastes like a cigarette. However once I got off that idea and tried others, it became a heck of a lot better. For your first liquid, I definitely suggest the "Caramel smooth e liquid (wow)" flavor under the desert section. Everyone that I've had try it really digs it. Unless you despise the taste of caramel, it's an awesome vape. Also, when choosing the strength of nicotine, 1.8% is a pretty safe choice. If you feel it has too hard of a throat hit, just turn down the battery dial and it should help out. vapor4life,store,e-liquid?cat=22 You should buy more than one bottle of liquid, go with at least two.
So IMO this is the best way to get into vaping and the best way to continue vaping. As I already said, the initial investment will be fairly expensive. However, you'll quickly start saving a lot of money - I vape a lot and I spend ~$30 a month on it. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
Anyway, hope this helps and enjoy the vape!
