I came home today a nice surprise in the Mailbox. Our Ego-C's were supposed to be here on Monday, they landed today on a Saturday! I am so glad to get off the Clayton (analog look-a-likes). Had to charge 3-4 times a day, and the taste was kinda meh. At least they held us off of smoking until the good stuff got here. We started off with 3 flavors; RY4, Creamy Cappuccino, and Dr. Pepper. The RY4 is okay, the Creamy Cappuccino is awesome, and we have not tried the Dr. Pepper yet. We have been smoke free since March 28th now, and are loving it. The only downside, slightly, is being a bit more dried out. We drink more water and juice now, instead of Coffee all day long.

I think we are ready to order more juice flavors now, probably a few extra Ego's as well.

Greetings from Canada! Welcome to ECF!

Now that you have the kits you will only need to order the batteries. A Star Dust (aka. Vision eGo clearomizer) works very well with the eGo (that it was designed for). The LR (low resistance) 2.1 ohm is best but SR (standard resistance) works, only with a little less performance.

Try to sample several juices in small (3 or 5ml) bottles rather than a big bottle of something that you may not like.

I started with the small batteries and moved to the eGo as well. I couldn't completely quit until I got the eGo. It has been great ever since.

Relax! Enjoy!

Thanks for the Welcomes

We did not exactly get Kits. Kind of built our own "Kits" with pick and choose parts. We started off with 3 USB Ego-C's and their Cords, thinking 1 cord at each PC and 1 in the car. I have been peaking at the Star Dust cartos. I was advised to stay away from the LR stuff as the Ego's only run at 3.4-3.7 ?

We kinda got 3 30ml bottles of Juice. The RY4 is okay, but a little rough/strong. We both liked the Cappuccino until we popped in a Tank full of the Dr. Pepper, now we are both vaping that!

We got the Cig20 first, really was not that bad (KR808 style). Those Clayton's were horrible though(no clue what style they are) :( We are loving the Ego's, so that makes fell a bit better on that large upfront purchase.

3 Ego-C USB manuals 900's
4 5pk type-A Atomizer heads
2 Atomizer bodies
4 5pk type-A Tank Carts
2 5ml syringes
3 10pk type-A cart Caps
1 RY4 30ml
1 Creamy Cappucino 30ml
1 Dr. Pepper 30ml

I figure 3 more of the Batts/USB chargers and a larger variety of smaller liquid bottles and we will be happy for a good while.

We started on the 808Ds, V2 Cigs of all places!

On the juices, my suggestion is to sample, sample, sample....smallest amounts you can get, but try out a bunch. We're still looking around (though I think we've settled on our go to vendor), and we definitely are glad we tried different vendors and juices...some of our early choices were rough.

You are well equipped, indeed.

Are yours Joye? If so they run at 3.4 volts constant. Others run unregulated at 3.7 (4.2 decreasing to 3.5). I never mentioned I have the 1100mah eGo knockoff pass-through and I love it.

I agree too low resistance is not advisable. The 1.5 ohm stuff is for another crowd. The LR Star Dust is 2.1 and the eGo should not, in my opinion, run anything below 2.0 ohms. Think about it, the Star Dust or Vision eGo clearomizer was designed for the eGo, from styling to functionality.

And the little batt to start. That's how most of us got here, and as long as we're here it's all good!

Yes, our's are Joye, we got them from litecigusa.com . Okay, I have been reading the 3.4-3.7, I did not really know the differences and you explained it well on how they regulate it. Still really new to this, my friend sent me to that site on Monday and we finally pushed the button Thursday night, so I do not all the "knock-off" stuff is.

I actually found this site using google search for e-cig when trying to find a place that sold the Cig20 stuff to get off the Clayton thingies. I have been reading as much as I could here daily and finally decided to make an Account Friday night. This is where I read about the LR/SR and that is not really recommended for the Ego's, although they can not push the 3.0 Ohm stuff very well either. What I am getting from the Ego is they are nice starter Kits? Not too expensive, but nowhere near as bad as the stuff in gas stations/tobacco shops. The LR Star Dusts are very attractive (to me) kinda digging the plain jane Tanks that are OE for the Ego's as well, but would like something a tad more stable and nicer looking. Clearomizers look cool as well, but I need to research more before I commit I guess. I do not want to smoke the Carts/Cartos with the filler stuff in them. I suppose being clear I will not smoke more filler. It is horrible, possibly worse than analog taste.

As far as the road to here and quitting smoking, I agree with you. Who cares how we got here and away from smoking, it can only be good for us! If it were not for the no smoke/smell electric cigarette from the tobacco shop I would still smell like my ashtrays outside.

Can I get some suggestions on Liquid shop/flavors to try, and some type of larger Tank and/or CartoTanks? Nothing else with Filler though please, I smoked too much filler with the analog look-a-like Cartos.

I found that I liked the "sweeter" non tobacco flavors. Just not really sure if want to Vape Dr. Pepper all day long.

I can't vape PG and I require the utmost trust in my juice supplier. I've just got back into this and it seems everything I checked out last time for juices is different.
So far this go around I've tried 3 from Johnson Creek's Red Oak line (100% PG free). They were quirky in cartridges but in the eGo-C they're all good.
Tundra, strong menthol tobacco, tastes more like peppermint patty mint to me but very good. I'm going to order some chocolate to mix with it.
Solstice, non-tobacco melons. I would smoke this all the time if I wasn't able to go through an A-tank in about 2 hours. I just can't get enough. In a cartridge the hint of mint was too strong and had to burn off. In the eGo-c it's a good mix.
Valencia, orange. If it was the orange alone I could probably vape a lot of it when I was in the right mood but it's also got a hint of cinnamon and clove and I think that causes it to be used less than the other two. If it was a cigarette I'd smoke about 2-5 cigs worth before putting it down and picking up one of the others.

Give me another week or two and I'll know what I think of most of the rest of the line.

Yep I have egos and use tanks with DC 1.5ohms cartos in them on my egos. I also use LR atties and LR Stardusts on them. They work much better than the SR cartos and atties and I have no problems at all with them on my egos.

I'd suggest picking up some low res gear - you will be quite amazed at the difference in vapor and taste :)

I've had mine for about a month, and it's been a great vaping experience so far. As for your RY4 liquid, it may need some steeping (time to allow the different flavors to blend), so put it aside for about a week in a cool, dry area and then try it again.

Also, I have to disagree with those that say the eGo-C batteries can't handle LR atties as I've been using the Joyetech LR C atties @ ~1.8 ohms with my setup since I got it with almost no issues. While I'm not an electrical engineer (that's my brother's gig), I can tell you that LR atties will put an additional load on the battery to create the higher wattage, thus creating a hotter coil / warmer vapor. The protected eGo-C batteries shouldn't have an issue with the LR atties as long as you don't go too low on the resistance.

If the load on the battery is too great, or if there is a short in the atty, the battery protection should kick in and shut the battery completely down. If this happens, the protection circuit can be reset by putting the batter on the charger for a few seconds, and the battery should be operational again. I'm not sure with the pass-through design if plugging in the cable will do the same reset, but I imagine it will.

As many will tell you, the best PV is the one that keeps you off of the analogs, so I hope your new eGo-C continues to serve you well! :2cool:
