So, I am on plane waiting to take off, and figured I would share.

I was going through security at the Minneapolis INTL airport, and placed my Indulgence in the tray with my wallet, belt, etc. They stopped me for a bag check. I politely told the agent that it was a personal vaporizer to help me quit smoking. He swabbed it with something and asked, "Is this one of those artificial cigarettes?" I told him that is exactly what it was. He punched something into the computer, said it was fine, and handed me my tray of belongings. He even thanked me for placing it in the tray and making it easy on him!

I have had zero problems with TSA. They did ask one time what my SD was when it was in the little change tray with my other stuff and I offered to demo it. They asked to put it through the machine again for training and I agreed (they were not busy at all). I usually just have them in my carry on bag with my extra batts and my juice in a quart bag separate for them to inspect. Never had a problem.

I have taken several flights in the past 30 days. Only had a problem on my first check in. I had my e supplies in a plastic case packed in my carry on bag. Went through the scanner and they stopped me and asked what was in the box. I told them exactly what it was. I offered to demonstrate but they said no and proceeded to rub a cloth with some kind of explosive detector sprayed on it. They then took the cloth and ran it through a smell detector. No problem. Thank you. you may proceed. I asked them about the scan and they said that the cartridges looked like bullets.
My advice is to put the e supplies you are going to use in your pocket so that you can put them in the basket before being scanned. Tell the agent exactly what it is. Put juice (less than 30ml) and batteries in a plastic bag in with your bath supplies. Pack everything else in your check in. I did that and never had another problem.

I ended up giving a Madvapes card to the lady running the scanner. I just put my case open in the bin with my shoes and bag. She stopped it when it came out, so I told her what it was and she was all "I've been trying to get my daughter to try those!" So I gave her one of the cards I've started carrying for just such an occasion.

Basilray, did you have the extender cup on it too? LOL The extender cup makes it look huge and scarey LOL. I remember you saying you didn't have a usb connector but I can't remember if you had an extender cup or not.

I don't have the extender cup either. Though that 3.7v w/ an LR atty was going to be the highest I went. That was before I got back from my work trip and unpacked my newly purchased (but gently used) GLV-1.

I'm a bit more worried about that one coming with me to the Philippines this weekend.

Ya I would worry about that too. I am a worry wart anyway.
Last year when I started, I left all my stuff at home for a weekend trip to Ca. I just didn't want to take a chance. That was last year though. I am sure TSA has been informed by now. (Wishful thinking)

I am so tickled to find this thread! The Hubster travels a lot on business and he has been reluctant to try vaping vs. smoking because he was afraid he couldn't travel with the unit. Got an email from him this morning, and he said "get me one of those e-cigs, I'm ready to try it." I was so happy...he's a pack a day plus smoker and his mom passed away 4 years ago from heart and lung disease from smoking for 50 years. I had hopes when I started vaping that he'd jump on the bandwagon too...looks like that is going to happen and I couldn't be happier!

TSA has been very cool with PV's. Just put everything in your carry on and they don't even check it.

Delta and some of the other airlines have banned PV's on planes, but many people stealth it without an issue. I can see the airlines point that anything that makes vapor or smoke is going to freak some people out and make trouble for the airline. Its easier for them to just ban everything that to have to educate people.

I am in the Philippines right now. Brought my Indulgence, 3.7v Box Mod, and a bunch of juice/cartos/attys with me. Checked my GLV, more juice, and 5v passthrough.

Here's what you should do:
1. Take all your batteries out of mods - put them in a baggie for easy removal if need be
2. Of course apply all liquid rules to juice in your carry on
3. Remove atomizers from all batterys/mods
4. Don't worry too much about it!

I vaped on the plane...just went to the bathroom and held it in for a few seconds. I exhaled next to nothing and no one had any clue. Be smart...and you'll be fine.
