Just got to work....grabbed a push pin to fiddle with my wick and coil a bit as it wasnt perfect from last night...and I snapped a leg out of a post. :-(

I was able to move the broken kanthal piece enough to make contact with the post and it still fires, if im gentle enough....I might just make it through the day!

A prebuilt rba in a ziplock in each vehicle you roll in is also a great fail safe.

I would say a carto in each vehicle but I tried a carto a few months back and once you go rba it's hard to go back :)

Note: I've never had to use a backup. In over a year of REOs, I've never had one let me down and I dont carry anything but just one fully loaded grand when I leave the house.

I still have four coils in my desk at work from September. I sort of got on a kick...

I rarely use them, they are all 1.6-1.9 ohm. But they are there if I ever need, pre wicked. And there are white cloud fling minis in my desk and laptop bag. I gotta sell those, can't remember the last time I touched one...my paranoia has subsided. Having a cottom ball around has been much more useful to me. Glad you got yours working!

It's happened to me. I carefully un did 1 wrap on that side to make the leg longer and screw it into the post

^^^ This is exactly what I did when that happened to me at work a while back.^^^

I had my other Reo with me so it wasn't an emergency or anything; just the principle of the thing....
