Hi all!

As being long time knifemaker and saw one of my friends smoking an e-cig few months ago it got me thinking. Here's something new to customized. Well, week ago i ordered one for myself, hoping to receive it soon, but i decided that mine needs to look like mine, so i went ahead of it and made a custom drip tip.

The material on this one is pretty nice, its stabilized mammoths molar. Yes you heard right, old mammoths tooth dipped in acrylic. it came out pretty nice, after test fitting it to old cartomizer my friend gave me it still needs little more work but not much.

Here's few pics!

Very nice indeed... believe it or not there is a good market for drip tips...ive been toying around with the idea myself...i have a lathe and some jade and soapstone from a chess set i made a few years ago...turning resins is pretty simple.

Nice work on the molar...and good luck...keep us informed if you make more because i am a buyer

Bulli gets 45-50 bucks a pop....but he puts a stainless steel insert inside them...and uses resins...some nice stuff tho

My lathe is a old 1970's craftsman 1.5 hp....its a beast...made for heavy turns.
i made some jigs for the chess pieces and have some really expensive frued edges...i have made a few edges from high carbon steel that i used to fix some antique chairs...but turning stone is a bit different...some guys actually use a small tile saw set up and apply water while holding the diamond edge....i was going to do an ivory/onyx. Chess set but i was afraid it was to difficult to shape the stone...

I wear a huge amethyst pinky ring, so when i start making big bucks (in like 15 years maybe, lol) an amethyst drip tip is on my list. Not the synthetic compressed powder type, a real solid one carved out of a whole piece.

why do so many guys from new jersey wear pinky rings i wonder?
