somewhere out there......
The rate this is taking, its going to be at least a month before I get my 16340...

Hey ForceFuel what shipping number are you on now? Or how many do you have left to do? I'm also a little worried because I'm getting ready to move soon and I need to know the ETA so I don't have to worry.

:)

Hi Grimdog!

You can't estimate shipping order time by order numbers. In that sense, people posting up their order numbers is creating some mis-information and anxiety for some. Remember, there are many t-tip orders in between these orders. So if customer order #2304 gets his order and your are customer #2404, that doesn't mean there are 100 orders before yours! 95 of those would probably be ttip orders that were shipped months ago, which means we're only a few out from your order.

Your order is only 6 out in the 16340 orders, so it should ship towards the end of the week.

Again, i want everyone to know I am working my hardest to get these out. Unlike some who claim they hand finish every unit, i truly do, that is why no one receives units with gouges or scratches, dents machine marks, thread marks, messed up o-rings etc, as i truly put a couple of hours of hand prep into each unit. Each unit is inspected throughout the finish and assembly process. Each and every unit is chucked on the lathe and the surface prepped. If i see a bad oring, it doesn't go in the unit. If i see a scratch after the initial surface prep, it gets rechucked on the lathe and the surface refinished. If it has a thread or machine mark, that can't be worked out, it goes in the reject pile! I can't speed it up without sacrificing quality.

Dave,

I am sorry I started the receiving line thread. It was a continuation of the 10440 Precise which I thought went rather well, and the receiving line thread for both the P16 and P18 was to provide a certain amount of reassurance. I guess I was wrong. Good things come to those who wait!

Now to the folks that have order #s in the 3000 or above, well ya should have been on the pre-orders like the rest of us. I followed the progress of these threads and I saw folks wait in line gauging, the appropriate time to order. So in all honesty IMHO if ya haven't waited 3 months, ya got nothing to complain about. So please take a chill pill, it will be worth it trust me. Peace! :)

In closing folks you know who you are and yes I mean YOU!

Hello David,
We are like kids at Christmas! No one is issng and moaning, just the excitement is overwhelming. For me personally, I try to give you two weeks before I e-mail and check? You have been very gracious to answer with-in the same day or next. My suggestion is this: Post the pre-order #'s you have and place a designator (18650-16340 etc. after each corresponding # as there is a posting already established here for those that rec'd their shipping notice and those that already rec'd their units. Then hopefully ALL can gauge the approximate date to have their new Rolls-Royce in their hands. I know you responded to me personally that #2887 just a few days ago that is mid-pack and you were hoping for another 10 days out to try and be completed with the pre-orders? We do appreciate your Quality Control attitude! It is like the commercial that says you can pay me now, or really pay me later! Michael Angelo was NOT rushed! And look at the results! Which are lasting for over hundreds of years! So for me personally, Do it right the First time! So I can enjoy the results for a very long time!:D

Oh then I'm good to go. I wasn't upset I just needed to know if I had to email you a new address. The last I moved to another apartment the USPS messed up my change of address and sent it to the old address lol.... it took almost a month to get it back.

I think your doing a hell of a job getting those bad boys out. They are absolutely gorgeous and worth every second of waiting. Especially after seeing all the pics and reading Switch's review.

I was simply worried if I had to change the address on the order but the time frame you just gave me is fine....... no worries. :) :vapor:

How about order #2792 ordeered 5-9-2010. I don't know why the over 3000 numbers should be worried, that's my number and order date, and I have yet to receive it. It WAS a PRE order.

I, for one, would rather wait and get the quality and craftsmanship that I've been reading about for the last year. I've always been late to the party, having never been able to pull the trigger on any of the previous offerings Dave has had. I finally stopped long enough to realize how much I've been spending on mods that just didn't live up to the billing so I ordered a P18 the weekend he announced he had them in-hand.

To remedy the wait, I've been lurking in the classifieds for forever and finally picked up a Super 6 that should be here in a few days. Maybe it's close enough to the P18 that I should have waited but hey, I wanted it the 1st time around and it will hold me over until my mailbox has a nice surprise in it.

On a side note, for you guys that travel with your PV's, how do you do it??? My original Protege was packed in my checked luggage coming home from Cancun a few weeks ago. Sadly, it is now in the hands of Mexican customs. :(

Most folks do not travel with their prize possessions. It could very well be a precaution rather than theft per se.

Ecig related items should be part of one's carry on. The air industry has been tightening up safety wrt LI Ion batteries (all sizes) that may go wonky when subject to unpessurized cargo holds. There have been many reports of batteries exploding and venting.

I carry my PV in my computer case and throw an atomizer or two in a ziploc with change, etc.. I throw a juice bottle in with the carry on liquids. I throw it in a bottle of visine, small hand lotion and mouthwash.
Batteries - I place two or three in an FAA approved carrier from lighthound.

If I was going to Mexico I'd probably only take normal stick batts but I've never had an issue in the states...

Live and learn! Thanks for the advice guys. I carried my 510 batts with me...the Protege, Bartleby, and spare batteries were packed together. They took the Protege and left everything else.

Making a trip to Lighthound this week. Their store is down the road from the BMX track my son rides at! :D

Theres still time to change it. I made the mistake of copying the address off the order and not the note to change the address. Thanks for the heads up!
