Hi All,
I'm an Aussie Vaper, I've been smoking since I was 16 and now I'm 33. I've tried to quit smoking for years, and I had only managed to stay off them for about months. My wife has been asking me to quit for years, and for a time I told her that I had only to hide the smoking from her. I had tried almost everything (except hypnotism), but tried all the tools and techniques from patches, gums, inhalers, books, and champix. None of them really worked. I know that this is not totally quitting but feel better not having to smoke from a health perspective to social perspective (in Australia you cannot smoke in doors) to a financial perspective (spending over $150 per week in smokes).

I started vaping after seeing this in action in Europe, I started off with a Joytech starter kit and quickly moved onto a Joytech Evic and then on to a Vamo, but have now settled back with the eVic. I've also tried Kanger tanks, and now satisfied with the Nautilus Aspire and get all my liquid from mt baker based on the reviews on this forum.

The only hassle I'm having is with the Aspire Nautilus coils, I vape at 4.2V and it is lasting me about 3 days - whereas I've heard others use it for weeks. I'm not sure how much they vape, but I don't vape all day. I replace the coils soon after I get a burntish taste (assuming thats the taste). But I'm not sure if these are just dry hits, but it lasts for longer period than the short time.

The liquid that I've settled on is Ry4, Cinnamon Roll, Watermelon - and all 12mg. I used to smoke Benson and Hedges Fine (4mg) about 6-10 cigs a day.

I know this site is called e-ciggarette, but I believe that if vaping is to continue it needs to move away from the name Cigarette.

Anyway that's me. Speak to you all soon.

Welcome to ECF,

Just curious on this, can everything in Australia really kill you ( I never believe the television, evil box of lies it is)...well at least E-cigs you know will be the thing that extends your life if nothing else :)

C'mon in and enjoy the insanity, fun and huge knowledge base that is ECF

Edit: I liked the term PV or Personal Vaporizer but that's also associated with a negative term, I don't know what you could call them besides E-Cigs but its a good debate topic and I fully agree that the negative association of "Cigarette" should be changed.

to ecf Gmack. Nice to meet you and so glad you are here. Just a wonderful place to be. Isn't vaping awesome? Now you won't have to hide it. Well maybe the receipts for the purchases.

I had tried everything also and vaping is the only thing that ever worked for me. Continued success to you and I look forward to reading more about you. Sort of like a family here so just make yourself at home.

Welcome Gmack! You are gonna love it here! The people here are so very nice, supportive, and helpful with the ever growing products and what they can do. I'm one of those that puts the stuff in the tank, recharges a battery when it's out, and changes the coil when I get a burnt taste. I was getting frustrated with the amount of coils I was going through and one of the sales people at my vape shop said, "Did you prime it first?" I answered, "Did I who-dy what-dy?" So I now know to prime the new coil.

As far as names? I call mine my 'peacepipe,' because I stay peaceful while using it. Actually, it looks like Dr. Who's screwdriver! I use the term 'e-toke,' and if folks critize my little names, I stay peaceful with my 'peacepipe screwdriver!'
