HAHAHA.. what a list.. It wasn't hard contact; the creature ran between my legs just as I was bringing on leg forward. I remember hearing the skidding of it's claws/nails as it skated about 3 meters across the deck. He/it had, what sounded like, ten or more "buddies".. I could hear them all scattering away. Scared me good, and I got a similar response from the guy I was staying with. He couldn't specify either just what creature it could have been.. Kinda scary

It's kinda like saying a Canadian comes from the USA. Not terrific, the Kiwis hate it the most.

Ack! I thought the kiwi is indigenous to both countries, hence my ignorance. I'm not sure who'd take most offence between our fellow Canadians and ourselves.. Probably equal disdain methinks
