Ok. So before I begin, a little history about my near year experience with vaping. I began vaping with Blu and immediately switched to Puresmoker's Protege. I've vaped in almost every environment located here in Arizona and have had few problems. One particular job I had didn't know what it was and didn't allow me to inside even with the knowledge about it. But most people, places, and organizations that I've vaped in/or around have had positive feedback when I've handed out cards and educated them about it.
Now, I know there are many in the Vape community that look down on "public" vaporers and think that it is a complete lack of respect by doing so. For me; in my own opinion, I have to disagree. I've read many support articles that suggest us Vaporer's to not give fuel to fire by making similies between traditional "smoking" & vaping. I feel it is our duty to be passionette; not agressive, when stating our case to vape somewhere. Using terms like "smoke", "cigarette" and any other context used in direct correlation with traditional smoking should be removed from our vocabulary when talking to someone opposive to vaping. Letting them know the benefits to you and them in what vaping does in replacement to you as a person smoking an analog in their presence. We should take a stand with "well-equipped" knowledge, in the fight for vaping and being able to do it without prejudice. I do not condone aggressive, disrespectful vaping; but, from my experience with the correct terminology and preparation I've had little fight back when vaping where I want. Just my thoughts over the last few days when reviewing other posts regarding vaping in public. Lend me your thoughts and criticisms. All welcome!

Vaping is no different than anything else in my life where I attempt to make "common sense" my guiding force in where, when, and how much I choose to vape in public spaces. I never felt I needed to smoke everywhere and anytime "I" felt like it even when it was more acceptable to do so, so why would I feel I should be able to vape "everywhere" and anytime I wish to now. I have no problem standing up for something I beleive in but at the same time "Just because I think I can" doesn't mean I feel a need to prove my point at every turn nor do I expect vaping to be acceptable everywhere all the time by everyone. Its been amazing how often someone has come up to me and asked questions when I've been quietly vaping in different places and I'm always happy to answer questions and demonstate when asked. Accurate knowledge is our friend to dispell inaccurate information and unfounded fear among those that have no first hand information about vaping and only know the few tidbits, mostly negative, that they've picked up in the news media. My own expereince in a bit over two months after speaking to those that have known almost nothing about e-cigs and in many cases weren' thinking positive thoughts before speaking to me has been 99% positive after asking questions of me and hearing the information I've had to share. Often the proof of the positive thoughts they've gone away with has come back when I run across them again and the second time they ask for more specific information to share with someone that smokes that they know that they have told about our conversation and now is interested in learning more themselves.

a few days ago my mom asked me when i was going to quit... i told her i quit on July 28th at 5pm. She said, no that other thing it looks stupid when ppl do it. "Really?" i asked, "As stupid as puffing on the real thing? As stupid as the ppl shoving 1 $20 after another into machines at the casino where you see all the vapers? i'll quit when i don't enjoy it anymore or when someone proves to me i'm causing harm to myself and the ppl around me." (i have a little attitude, since mom smoked the 1st 44 years of my life, including all the time she was pregnant with me.)

i really have to work on enlightening ppl rather than getting defensive when someone makes a remark about something they know nothing about. i find a lot of current smokers asking me about them and i'm happy to tell them that i thought there would be smoke coming out of my coffin. Then i found these. i send them here and tell them to do the research, don't be overwhelmed by all the info, (plenty of ppl that are happy to help them sort it all out) Then they can bring the info to any other smokers in their lives, do a cost analysis get everyone that wants to quit together and make a plan for a quit date. My hubby and i did that and haven't even craved an analog since. Most current smokers that i talk to actually like the terms, vaper, vaping and analog. Go figure, LOL. But i do love telling them we quit together in the same 24 hour time span (when we ran out of analogs) and haven't even craved an analog once. The worst thing that happened was looking for that lighter for the 1st 3 days.

I have to say, I vape pretty much wherever I feel like it. It's part of the charm. When I am in an area that is non-smoking, I stealth vape, and I don't think I've been noticed yet. As far as I'm concerned, if nobody is noticing, then there is no way they can care.

On the other hand, I still frequent the smoking areas as well, as one of my favorite parts of smoking was getting the opportunity to hang out and meet a few new people. It's amazing, whether at work, school, the mall, or wherever, you can get into more conversations in 5 minutes in the smoking area than you will all day inside. I like that.

I have started to vape a little less stealthy in my office. I'm not blowing out huge plumes of vapor, but I'm sure that someone has walked by and seen me taking a drag. Amazingly, no one has said anything. My PV and my travel kit sit on my desk and has been met with curiosity and acceptance. Most people are happy that I've quit smoking and I've only had one incident where I got a bit snarky with someone about it. That was actually kind of funny.
