so i've decided that i am going with the eGo twist, what i keep reading though is that they have a problem with dual coil cartos, so my question is: where can i find a single coil carto tank, a twist battery, and a charger....all in one place on the interwebs....that is of course unless i was wrong about the dual coil thing....i just don't want to burn my investment up by running the wrong stuff on it

Check out the list of suppliers at the bottom of the main forum page; anyone carrying the Twist will have a charger also and everyone carries cartos :D.

It's not so much dual coils that may cause problems with Egos; but more LR cartos (>2 ohms). You can get DC cartos with higher ohms if you'd like to try them.

The 2 tank I have used with Boge LR/SR carto are Phiniac from The Phiniac Tank - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks (which are beautiful) and j-tank from electronicstix ElectronicStix.Com : ElectronicStix.Com

electronicsticx sells the tank, carto, carto punch and twist battery all in one place.

Here I have a white twist/boge SR/J-tank together. Need a collar to cover threads, otherwise, looks pretty neat.

Just FYI, i have been running a 2 ohm DCT from Smoktek (tank with dual coil cartomizer sold as one) on an Ego Twist and i have had no problems thus far...

Just keep it around 4.2 volts, it works great and is very very nice to keep working/maintained.

When i checked the actual resistance of the cartomizer with a multimeter it read 2.1 ohms, which is fairly typical of the variances you get with cartomizers. I have some 1.5 ohm versions of the same carto here that i haven't bothered trying yet... Might keep them for a mod that has a bit more oomph

i just bought from cloudsofvapor.com this week my first real e-cig, i also got the Twist and COV's airflow mod. i think its really great, i'm not sure if the airflow is that important with the twist because they sort of have a similar effect (ie lessening the airflow gives more vapor as well as increasing the voltage) but i generally keep the airflow all the way open and the voltage down to 3.2 and it gives me smooth vapor that i like. but when i am busy i kick up the voltage a little bit and close the air flow a bit so that i can spend less time vaping while still getting as much vapor with very short draws as i normally do casually vaping with long draws.

some people at work gave me .... because of how big it is (i got a massive 1000 twist) but the amount of vapor i can draw is amazing and kicks the .... out my previous cigarette look alike model plus the huge tank is so nice, i mean why waste time refilling when you can just have a couple days (or more) vapor just ready to go? plus why do you want to look like you are smoking when you are vaping? at least you don't have to explain to people your not smoking a cigarette.

^this. 1000 percent....i intended for this purpose, i want the 1000 mAh batt and tank so i can go all day at work instead of having to lug three batteries, a pcc, and cartos/juice....in addition i hate straining myself trying to suck vape out of an auto battery since the first couple pulls are basically useless warmup excercises for the mini unit i'm using now...i'm def. looking forward to the upgrade...i just don't want to make multiple orders and get all the parts seperately, basically because i'm anxious to set up the new rig all at once lol.

yea i have seen some kits that look like a good deal like that come with 2 batteries and 2 tanks/cartomizers for like 80 bucks. i got my set up for 50 bucks battery, charger, and tank mod from COV all in one order not as sweet of a deal as some kits considering how much you get, but its all i really need anyway and i didn't want to spend more than 50 bucks on a complete device. plus i think the battery came partially charged because it was done in less than an hour, so it was ready to go way before i had to go to work (1.5 hours after finding it in my mail box) and i was sort of sad that i wouldn't get to use it at work.

so even though i didn't get a kit, i got everything all in one order all from one supplier so it was just as good as getting a kit to me.

that's good to know, i'm definately going to check them out sur, i know i want the 3.5 tank from smoketek, it seriously looks like it was made for the ego with the adapter on it, straight lines from tank to tip...i'm also definately ordering the stainless, only because i've seen pictures of paint chipping and whatnot...but yeah i'm not getting a huge kit either, i just really need the one batt to last me through a day, and if it requires i'll order another later or a passthrough for my house....but i just need an initial startup, and i have the adapters for USB>outlet and USB>car....so thats one less thing to buy at least

i don't think the pass through is necessary, i mean you have to sleep so just plug it in every time you go to sleep. i know what you mean though it sucks when the battery dies and you have to wait for it to charge, so its a tough decision between that and a twist (unless the twist comes in a pass through version, which i don't think it does but if it does i feel pretty dumb for not doing more research before buying what i got)

also not sure how much the air flow holds, but this a pic of it of it attached to the 1000 twist. not sure if its 3.5mL but its probably less, its definitely enough as i have been vaping pretty consistently for about 6 hours and there is still a good amount in there.
