I have been looking at the SD MkII and been going back and forth between it and the other batt mods for about 3 days. I finally decided on the SD. also ended up ordering some 24mg M/boro and the spares kit. Why I chose the SD over the others.
1. It was a complete kit. Included lanyards, spare atty and some fluid. Nice presentation.
2. Protected batteries from the start. My only concern is getting batteries in the future and from where... if TW doesn't have/carry them.
3. Price. Since lowering to 99.00 and with what you get, I thought it was competitive and in some cases better. I looked at the DSE905, no extra atty, fluid, oh and the manual (if like my other chinese e-cig manual) is probably not readable.
4. I don't want the lightup crap. If someone asks me what I am doing with my PV... my answer is hitting my crack pipe. They have no idea...

Hopefully I have a good experience with the SD and TW. I have a local guy that makes his own VG based juice. I haven't used anything other then his, and see that TW uses a PG based juice, but wanted to try something else. Prob stay with local guy, just because, but never know

Can't wait to get it!

Just FYI...I have the Silver Bullet, the BB, a fistpack, a magnum, a LP, a nicostick and just got the MkII SD. The SD is my favorite at the moment. It performs as well, if not better than the BB. Of course I use all of my mods at 3.7V, not 6V. IMO, nice choice!! I also love the fact that this SD has a cap for the button to keep it from firing in your pocket.

This was my first e-cig.. and I truly enjoy it... Most of the time in a pinch.. If you should need a bat to get you by, you can find unprotected cr123s in radioshack and stores of the like. I would always recommend to use protected batteries and TW does have those stocked to sell individually and in the spares pack as well. If you got the spares pack that I am thinking of.. it comes with three batts and five atties. these batts will last you six months a peice .... My friend has had his SD for eight months , he switched between only two batteries for seven and a half months. One died about two weeks ago and the other started to only last about half as long as usual before needing a charge.
I do not know your experience with what atties.. but I didnt care for the 901 experience.. so, my best recommendation is to get adapters for 901 to 510 and rock a 510 on the SD. That is what I do now and I love the fact that the 510 seems to offer more consistency and smoother flavor without just giving you a hint of flavor- then dropping off like the 901. Taste is subjective and that is what my experience has been.
I love my SD and I hope you share te same enthusiam!!! Happy vaping and let us know hat you think when you get it.
Tom P.S. sorry for the long post!!!

Sorry - the OP has ordered an SD Mk2 - it won't take the CR123 size batteries the SD Mk1 uses. The SD Mk2 uses 18350 size batteries. The ones supplied are super protected, but you can get regular protected (ie protected against under/over charged but not shorts) batteries of the same size with 1200mah here:

Thanks for that link. I have it bookmarked as I have an SD Mk2 coming in tomorrow or Monday from TW. Good price on those batts!

Can anyone point me to the best place to get the 501 conversion kit for the SD Mk2?

I just ordered a set of these batteries the other day from a U.S. supplier I found. 18350's are not that easy to find but you can if you spend enough time looking around. You can almost buy 4 of these for the price of just one of the batteries that comes with the kit. Just don't be an idiot and short you're batteries out and you'll be fine.

Just visit AltSmoke's website and get a couple 901 to 510 adapters and a few 510 atty's and you'll be set.
