I am sure this question has been asked before, but since all old threads were deleted, I'll ask it again.
Can batteries other than the ones sold by TW be used in the Screwdriver?
The TW batteries, labeled ICR18350 are rated at 900 mah and 3.7v - I have seen others carrying the 18350 model but with both higher and lower voltage and mah rating. Many threads discuss a higher rate of discharge on some, while others discuss rapid voltage drop-off (weaker vaping after 15 min or so).
After about a week using my SD MKII with the shipped batteries, I found they only last through about 3 tanks, and solid vaping until the battery is drained.
This differs from the Tornado/Inferno batteries (both are really self branded eGo 1000 mah batteries) in that I can get another tank and a half out of a single charge.
This doesn't bother me that much, other than the fact that I have to carry an extra battery to work with me, where with the eGo batteries I could vape all day and only swap out tanks.
With all this in mind, here are my questions:
1) Are there other batteries that will hold a longer charge?
2) Is it detrimental to the tank-o-mizer or atomizer to use batteries rated with either a higher voltage or amperage rating?
3) What is the life expectancy of the TW 18350 batteries (in charges)?
4) What results have others obtained through experimentation?
Thanks!
