Just as the title states. Cant wait! Probably going to be here Tuesday...ish. Now, I've done a lot of reading/research and it seems some people are have some threading problems, and say you should protect the threads with a connector. How would i go about doing this? I've heard a 510 to 510 connector helps but im a little confused, how would that help? Then I've heard a 510 to ego helps, but in the long run it hurts. Everything i've read stated my problem and someone gave a solution but thats where im confused. The OP in those threads understood what was being said. I dont. (As if you cant tell, im new to anything other than kgos or the like). Anybody care to shed some light?

Im really looking to protect this thing as much as possible (prevention instead of repairs)

Thanks all!

The Q/C on the 510 connection atop the Vamo is hit or miss. The threading is usually brass with could wear in time and shorten the usable life of the Vamo. On my Vamo the 510 connection was a little recessed so my Vivi gave a 9.9 ohm error (meaning it was not making a connection). I got a 510 to 510 'shorty' connector and it worked fine, plus I am not constantly using the connector threading on the Vamo. I also got the 510 to eGo connector for 'Kanger' type ego threaded devices. The main thing about these add-on connectors is that you do not want to crank down too much or it will damage the connector gasket on the Vamo. This causes a whole different set of problems. Here is a couple links for the connectors I use.
510 to 510 Sealed Shorty Adapter / Extender | Electronic Cigarette Adapters
MyGo Adapter | 510 Extender for using eGo Tank Attachments

Get one of these and then you won't be screwing and unscrewing your 510 into the threading on the Vamo but instead doing it to the adapter:

V2 510 Shorty Extension- Unsealed

Make sure you set your Vamo to RMS (N02) mode and ajust the power in watts.
I was going to show that link but it says they are out of stock. I think a lot of people are protecting/ correcting their Vamos with the extensions.
Correction... the "sealed" version is out of stock. Looks like they have plenty on the ones you linked, sorry.

Quality control in building these units is all over the place. I have been using my Stainless Vamo for over 5 months and change tanks four or five times a day. My threads and contacts have never failed or had any problems what so ever. I did buy new O rings just in case, but have never had to replace the original. I can certainly understand everyone's frustrations in receiving a product that most people find an exceptional value and device and then experience QC problems. Hoping my Vamo continues to function flawlessly, but just in case I bought a KTS GG Clone mechanical as a backup, but the vape in not near as good as the Vamo.

I agree about the QC but the Vamo threading is poor to say the least. It certainly is not robust. The bad thing is that when it fails, you may need a machinist to repair it, if you're not capable yourself, as the connector/plate is one piece. To each his own, but I strongly recommend some kind of protection. Pay now, or pay more later.

Now I know there are a bunch of threads about our precious Vamo. But mine has happened to come in today (after stalking the mailbox, and looking crazy to my neighbors), so I figured I'd do a little mini review. Here's my take...
I happened to order the Gun metal version. She is the newest version. Now granted I've only had her for under 24hrs, and my only experience with pv's ( not counting cig-a-likes) is an SLB Kgo, I am in love! She came from VaporBeast, and I bought the kit. The kit came with generic batteries 18350, but I do have some pannies on order, thanks to the members here.
My juice, which was once ok, is now amazing.. I'm able to dial in the undertones, and appreciate the flavor, vapor and throat hit.
Anyways, more about the Vamo, she cane in brand new condition, and appears to be. Nice finish (expected) no rattles, and the LCD panel is easy to read/understand. YMMV. I am currently waiting on my 510 to 510 adapter to protect the threads, however they feel smooth. I am currently running one 18350 and getting decent vape time, for me. The hit came with a dual charger (brand unknown) but it works for now until I can get a better one.
I intend to have the Vamo for home use, while using the Kgo's on the go. Not to say the Vamos is not portable, IMO she is.
In the future I intend to buy another tube as a backup.
Not much of a review I know, not really my intention. Just am so proud, had to vent!
