So I finally just placed my order with MyVaporStore for the istick 50 watt along with the Kanger Subtank mini and a 15mL bottle of #36 juice from Beard Vape Co. Can't wait to get this in the mail! This is my first ever mod and tank/atomizer I have ever ordered as I am new to vaping. The whole total for the istick, subtank mini, and a 15mL juice was just under $95 so not too bad. It took a while to decide between the Subtank Mini or the Aspire Atlantis. One of my biggest concerns was how long to the factory OCC coils last and also when it comes to tanks is there a PG/VG ratio that I should stick to or near? I have read that some of the tart/sour flavors can lead to some tanks cracking, is this a concern for me?

I run the Istick 50w and Kanger Subtank Mini. I love my setup.
I use the RBA not the Prebuilt coils. I have not had much luck with the .5ohm prebuilt coils.
I used the 1.2 ohm on my Istick 20w for a week before buying the Istick 50w. I tried the .5 ohm coil and it tasted burnt from the get go...
So i switched to the RBA and havent had one issue since.
I have ran 60/40 and 70/30 in mine. I personally prefer the 70/30 mix.
I have yet to try the Beard Brand juices so cant say about any of that.
I think that you will enjoy this setup though
Happy Vaping and Happy Easter!

Mini is nice cuz the rba deck so its a better choice then the atlantis. Still kind of pricey and I would of went with the Smok VTC because it is the only subtank that ive never got a dry hit with when chain vaping and its a nice price to see if you like subtanks. Even with the Kangar ST and Atlantis juice flow is pretty good so dry hits are kinda rare.

MVS is also 1 one of my goto vendors, ships fast and if there is a problem theyll make it right.

The higher the PG, the greater the throat hit will be. Same with nicotine as well. I am currently using 6 mg juice with a 85 VG and 15 PG ratio. The Subtank with the subohm coil hits pretty hard, so if your nicotine is too high or your PG is high, you may get a burning sensation in your throat. When I first quit, I needed the throat hit. As I have upgraded my gear to more powerful stuff, I've found that I no longer want the throat hit.

I started out at 36mg using an ego, then stepped down to 12mg.
Now im using 3mg in my subtank, anything more is too harsh...
i much prefer high vg mixes

I started vaping with 24 mg and I just started vaping the beginning of January. A week before I went down to 6 mg, I was mixing 6 mg and 24 mg juice at a 1:1 ratio. The first day I vaped 6 mg juice, I was jonesing for nicotine like crazy and was vaping nonstop. I tried going back up to 12 mg and the throat hit was just too harsh.

Thats about how it went for me...
I now use either 1mg or 3mg dependent on the flavor.
I usually end up having to buy a bottle of 6mg and 0mg of the same flavor and 50/50 them to get 3mg...
But it works for me.

Congrats, that sounds like a very nice setup. I am currently using the subtank nano which is pretty much the same setup but smaller. From personal experience, the coils will last, as long as you don't dry hit often. The subtank seems to work well with high vg juices, but I've ran a 50/50 with no problem. anything above 80/20 (VG/PG) will work, but might dry hit some if chain vaping.

There are several reasons I chose the Kanger subtank:

One, is that the stock coils can be rebuilt easily. I plan on going on vacation in a few days, and I will have a spare coil rebuilt and ready. Sure, you can use the Rebuldable deck, but it's nice to know, while on vacation, that you don't need to spend any time rebuilding your coils.. just replace and go. A video on how to rebuild the OCC coils is here.

The second reason I chose the subtank, is it's a toolless refill. That means you don't have to carry a screwdriver around with you.

A third reason, is the glass tank. that was a major reason for me, since I do vape known tank crackers.

Fourth, is no gurgling. I specifically bought the subtank nano to replace a mini protank II. I'm so glad I did. I have heard it doesn't leak, and I have been putting that to the test recently, and sure enough, not one gurgle... not even after I rebuilt the stock head.

And lastly, adjustable airflow. While doing the 8 hour drive, I wanted something that has the option NOT to blow huge clouds. I don't want to "hotbox" my family on the long trip. Lower the air intake, lower the wattage, and I get a decent tasting vape without huge clouds. during rest breaks, I can raise the wattage/airflow and vape like a maniac. :)

I did have the istick 20 for a short while (1 week) and loved the thing. Unfortunatley, I showed someone at work, and he liked it so much, he bought it from me (for the same price I bought it for). I have been hounding him about his smoking, and anything that will help him quit is worth it. I did, however, take the money he paid, and bought a cloupor 30w.. which works better with the subtank. Not that I dislike the istick, but It was a mini version of the Sigeli 100w I use as my daily vape device that I was well familliar with. I can tell you now, that you'll be getting a quality product with the istick 50w, and you'll love it.

Congrats, I was actually considering ordering too. Rocky Mountain Vapors has 20% Easter sale so I thought about getting the subtank mini and iStick 50w. I use Reos now, but it'd be great to have a simple backup with a battery that'll last a long time. Was thinking about getting around to trying a tugboat, but I'd have to order from another site. There's a juice I want to try flawless vapes has a 180ml juice on their site for $45 for their sale this weekend. It's called Muffin Man from One Hit Wonder, but haven't heard of it before. Just worried how unflavored would taste in a subtank like I vape on a Reo.
