So, I just ordered my DSE905 from here. The Better Way To Smoke - DSE905 Nomad E-Cigarette Kit I probably should have asked for opinions here before I ordered it, but I just had to order it first. I guess now that I am addicted to these things, i just gotta have it ASAP lol.

Anyone have one of these yet? If so, what are you poersonal opinions of them. I didn't really want to get a big batt mod, but I vape almost nonstop for most of the day and I'm getting really tired of having to have a stockpile of batts in my car. :))

How is the battery? Like, can you bring it to work w/out any extras? Are you getting a whole day/half day out of it?

I'll let you know how long the battery lasts when I get it. Mike at azsmokefree says it will last all day, but I don't think he vapes nonstop like me. If it will last at least 8 hours, I'll be very happy.

ive had mine for just over a full day now and so far im happy, although i did have an issue with the one that i got prior to this one i just just yesterday where i put the battery in wrong way (for those of u keeping score plus goes torward the atty) and i heard a soft popping sound and supposiably blew the inner electronics up, so dont do that lol, other then that i havent had a battery die yet, but then again im switching every 8 hrs or so just to make sure i dont run out, ill test it and let u know though. the only nitpick i have about it is the end on/off switch is pretty soft so u could definately hit it while its in ur pocket BUT the actual vape button is pretty hard like on a 510 but lower profile so u probably wouldnt activate the atty ever and the red LED around the atty is pretty bright at night, but somtimes i like that and sometimes i dont. other then that im happy with it for sure, oh and i have the chrome and its pretty slippery, going to try to fix that though somehow

I'm waiting on one for my little bros Christmas present... People have been telling me that for the price it's good. Not as good as an HV mod, but definitely better than a regular battery. I did see a thread earlier Vapor_Happy and some others have bored out these to fit rcr123a's so they can use them at 6 volts.

I got one last week from Saveasmaker for $60 + with thier atty that basically died in 3 days , I ordered some 4075 atty and they work GREAT ( I got 5 tobacco carts also but they are not for me ! )

The bottom switch SUCKS , the small vape switch will pop out pulling it from your pocket ( WATCH OUT ! ) it;s A RUBBER PIECE that snaps in.

I put black tape around the outside of the led area ( to bright for me )

Battery life is about 6-10 hrs fully charged , I got one battery that only lasts 2-3 hrs ?? CHina stuff U know !

I was just poking around on the forum for more information on the DSE905 and it seems to me that this is a brand new product. I have already ordered one, but does anyone know how long this one has been on the market?

Not long and there have apparently been some melty issues with it that go beyond disappointing and into the realm of dangerous.
I'll see if I can track down the thread and add it.

Were you able to get a replacement?

it was a gift from a forum member , so no i didn't get a replacement... , i was very thankful for the gift but not terribly impressed with it to begin with , it was ok... if it didn't break so easily , it could be a solid mod that is actually worth the money it costs.

plus the LED is just to damn bright , it does run on my favorite battery, but it's a Chinese quality mod at best. I got about 15 solid min of vaping out of it before the whole top cracked off.

I got one of these before reading that thread. Haven't used it yet, cause I was waiting for protected batteries to come in. contacted my retailer and asked him about a recall and drew their attention to the HealthCabin thread. still no email back from the retailer and that was a few days ago.

I know I have version 1 because the retailer said they knew that a version 2 was coming out. I am expecting, if the manufacturer is saying they know there is a problem with V1, and they will exchange the units, that all retailers of these issue a recall and take care of this for their customers. I'm sure the customer won't mind having to pay to ship it back, but the retailers do need to inform their customers if there is a safety hazard and work with them to complete the exchange.

Weird. I've had mine for three and a bit weeks now and I've dropped it a few times, sat on top of it when I've accidentally left it on my chair, continually popped the mouthpiece off to drip which would cause stress to the top section and it's still solid when I wiggle it. Even if it did come off then a bit of epoxy would secure it again and HG's sell the top and bottom parts separately for not very much.

Well, that was a real disappointment... I'm glad that Grimm did that review before I tried to buy it. So far I think this is one major ripoff and haven't heard yet about any fix or improvement so... Stay away from the dse905...
