I went over to E-cigexpress and ordered 7 DIY tobacco flavors to be mixed with PG and VG and nicotine. I had used their online support to get some advice from one guy who works there, then I spoke with another guy by phone, and they both recommended the same liquids, so I ordered the 3 that they recommended, and just to be sure I ordered 4 more made by 2 other companies just to cover my bases because I'm having a hard time finding e-liquids that taste anything like tobacco, or arent too sweet. I want strong flavors.

Here's the 3 I ordered that they recommended(all made by the same company):

1. Tobacco Express French Pipe
2. Tobacco Express MLB
3. Tobacco Express KL Menthol

Here's the other four I ordered:

1. Flavor West's American Tobacco

2. Flavour Art's Burley tobacco
3. Flavour Art's Virginia tobacco

4. Tobacco Extract(dont know who makes it)

**Anyone know anything about these flavors, if they taste like tobacco more or less and if they are any good??

I have Virginia Fire Cured Tobacco and I like it.

The TA is extremely concentrated, thick, and near gummy. You should dilute one to two drops in approx 5ML of PG and use this mix as a flavoring or additive to most tobacc flavors. I tried to mix TA on it's own but, for me, I found that it is much better when added to other tobacco flavors.

I hope you got some ethyl maltose (sp?) or plain Cotton Candy flavor. EM is used by most tobacco DIYers as it has the tendency to help tobacco flavors blend better.

I also reccomend that you get some type of e-liquid calculator software like "E-Juice Me Up" to help you mix. Since I started the DIY learning curve the majority of e-liquids I mix are tobacco flavored. Another rule of thumb with tobacco blends is to let your new mixes steep at least one week so flavors will blend.

Lastly, make sure you go to the DIY sub forum under "E-Liquids" and read, study, and consider what is there. There are many much more knowledgeable people there who can help a lot.

Good luck....just trying to help.

The tobacco express MLB will be close to a cig type taste. Start at 2.5%. I use this flavoring by itself. No extra additives are needed. The french pipe is good but TE Captain is a little better. They have a product called Tobacco additive which has a stronger flavor than MLB I add it to allot of my flavors for a little extra kick.

Thanks to everyone, and I hope at least 1 or 2 of these tastes good so I can stop spending and start saving!! I will make sure to keep record of how much of A B and C that I add to each recipe. I have already mixed a few mot-so great DIY flavors, and although they arent good on their own, 2 of them are good as additives to another blend.

Whats most important now is finding a good DIY base. I had found a good base pre-mixed eliquid to use to make a blend that I really liked, but apparently that tobacco flavor might be getting phased out, and my last order was weaker flavored than before, which is bad because it was the base and it NEEDED to be strong to produce a good blend(Totally Wicked's tobacco e-liquid).

But even if it had been perfect, I would still rather find a cheaper DIY flavor and make my own mix from scratch, thereby saving money!

Nope..... Didnt get ethyl maltose. The 2 guys I spoke with at ecig express didnt mention that it would be necessary. I did see it on their site, and read that it has a sweet, almost cotton candy flavor, but I didnt realize that I might need it with these tobacco flavors. Actually, come to think of it, they did include it with their complete DIY mixing kit, which also included tobacco flavoring, so maybe that should have been a clue, but again, they didnt mention it as being necessary.

How about sucralose? I do have some concentrated sucralose I ordered a few weeks ago, will that work at all?

I use a 10% EM solution to sweeten and to soften tobaccos. Personally I would steer away from Sucralose. Many use it just fine but the thought is breathing an altered sugar molecule that was bombarded with chlorine gives me the heebie jeebies.

I used to use it in my tea all the time but now I use honey. (but honey would kill a carto in no time so dont use that!)
