I gave up on simulated or synthesized tobacco flavors long ago. Some of the chemicals were interesting but they did not do it for me. I stick to real tobacco extracted flavorings made from the natural leaf. You might try them if you are having trouble getting the tobacco flavor you are looking for with artificial flavors.
The best tobacco menthol w/ 12mg.nic I've found is from moon mountain but that's the only 1 I've tried from their cause that's all I'll ever do is menthol is what I crave from being past smoker.

OK, I sold out folks. Going to make an order and clicked on one of my bookmarks (WildVapes) and saw this promo offer... first time order sample pack (normally 16.99 plus shipping) for $4.44 and FREE shipping! I couldn't resist (and this will keep me in juice while I mix and steep DIY) By the way, it's my birthday (almost 60) I got two tobaccos, one mango and a RYA4 (mostly vanilla/caramel but I like that anyway) 30 ml each. Now I can take my time and get more serious about DIY. I get impatient and would have not waited for my juices to steep. Now if I have to wait a week (or 2, or 3) no big deal. Also gives me time to make my wish list (oh yes, I will get some of that expensive stuff Walter) Otherwise, all I need right now is some 48mg nic juice (PG) to mix the flavors I already have (mix beery, lemon, apple pie (with extra spice and graham cracker) and chai tea. Already have VG and a small syring to measure (laugh if you will, but mom got the VG to give her cat an enema... worked, cats doing great!)

Woops... forgot "yellow cake" flavor. I go to bed and dream about vape flavors... the other night I had been drinking Root Beer and dreamed I was vaping it. Woke up drooling and I swear I could taste root beer. I know, totally sidetracked from tobacco flavors.
The tobacco juices I got from VapeWild are Gold Label and Wrangler (and RY4 if that counts) Just wondering what tobacco flavors these are similar to.

I forgot to mention... even though I didn't buy menthol cigs, I would bum a few from friends that like menthol, so will get some menthol flavor to play with. Even though I may have lost a few of you with my off topic BS, I do realize that tobacco flavors are still important to me, and I intend on diving right off into the deep end of the pool... first thing I'm going to do is get some of Walters "good stuff" (I always wanted to try Black Note, so this will still be cheaper and maybe something I can actually respect)

I tried the VapeWild "gold label" tobacco juice... very mild and resembles cig somewhat. Trying "wrangler" next. I would assume both of these are very similar to DIY flavors of similar names (by the way, giving some of the "gold label" to a friend trying to cut down on cigs... sort of that "vape it forward" thing)

I recently purchased BFC-SC Western hoping it would be like VW Wrangler, but it isn't. To me it's like a melange of clashing old fashioned floral perfumes plus spoiled tomato. VT-SC Special Base Tobacco was like Wrangler but VapersTek no longer carries it. FA Cowboy tastes to me like strong rose plus lilly. TFA Western reminds me a bit of a Dutch rolling tobacco I once bought and Stroh's beer.

To me VW RY4 has a slight anise note which I like.

"wrangler" is rich flavor... still tobacco like. "RY4 life" is nice... not really tobacco, and nothing stands out, but good flavor. Basically vaping all three together now (that could easily be my all day vape for awhile) Can't wait to make my own Purilum "sweet tobacco" to compare (hoping for more of a pipe tobacco flavor) Still nothing in my e-mail from nic/riv.

As my taste buds recovered from years of smoking I began to gravitate toward unflavored juice with low nicotine levels. I still mix up several tobacco flavors when I DIY, but I also mix four 100ml bottles of unflavored. If I want a tobacco flavor I just add a squirt of one of my 6% tobacco flavor mixes into my tank. It's a base level tobacco vape, but it satisfies the desire for a mild tobacco flavor.

DaveP, I actually plan on going very easy on the tobacco flavors... a little goes a long way.
NicRiv finally sent me an e-mail... on it's way to USPS. Thank goodness I'm in California so might not be too long now. Still ...... though... it's been 4 days!
It can happen, I'm waiting on orders placed on Monday, course, that is with some Chinese Shenzhen suppliers, so I'm a little more patient. Can't wait to hear how your DIY progresses.
