Congrats! It is much better, huh? If you want to try mech's I would start with some inexpensive one so you can get a feel for it. There are thousands that you can choose from! When I started on an ego my buddies told me I would escalate to mechs, and they are loads better. Be safe and study up on proper equipment / builds. Best of luck!

I feel this is good advice. I actually tried the the Ego-style kit (whatever was mainstream for beginners 3 yrs ago), years ago, but the battery would always go dead (no way to charge it where I worked) too soon. The atty soon died, then the replacement died even sooner. The one I had had held very little juice, and I still remember it as a pain all the way around. So, I went back to analogs for a few more years. This time, I actually did some reading and learning first, and wanted to stick with the items being used by those who were experienced at vaping. The extra battery capacity of my 18650 mech mod made all the difference. Loved it so much, I even bought a 26650 sized one, and finally a variable voltage mod (DNA 30 style). Today's RBAs and RDA's are also so much better than they were a few years ago, as well. In short, I think this is the best time, yet to be vaping, and think things will continue to get better - until the U.S. corporatocracy decides to step in. That's why it's also important to join the vaping advocacy group (can't remember it's name - hopefully someone will post it) to ensure things continue to move forward.

I agree, it was very good advice. My other half is extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly researches everything...especially something like this so if I move up to a mod other than my istick, I have a good...no GREAT person to ask any questions that I may have. [emoji4]

Hey there InstantKarma, welcome aboard. I know what you mean about the repulsive smell. I was 2 packs a day for 20 + years. And now the smell on someone's clothes gags me. And I can relate to not wanting to step back to the gear I thought was so good. I remember when I got my Aspire CE5-S DBC and thinking wow! Now it just sits in the box gathering dust. Well I'm sure you'll meet a lot of cool people and learn a lot of new vape tricks on the forum. Peace and God bless.
