Bought a mixing kit from TW - also available from other suppliers - just knocked up my first batch of 5ml following the instructions for 18mg mix. It only specified volume of diluent so I had to assess the breakdown of ag and pg.

Result took about 5 mins tops - just vaping it through a mini vivi of vision whatever its called brand new wick - I went for pina colada for the first one as the flavour is fairly vivid and I could tell if it's "right" and it's good.

Simples it seems:toast:

I need to build up my stock of flavours as and will probably give a flavourart Italy a try - although they post a 45 day delivery time!!!

Anyone used them?

adios

Well done :)

Try http://www.flavourart.co.uk then :p

He posts on here.

His "Vintage Black Jacks" was my absolute fave but I can't taste it anymore :'(

The flavours I've had from him are strong compared to ones I've had from TW or Decadent Vapours.
DV's Absinthe and Rhubarb and Custard are wicked
I like "Pernod & Black" - use aniseed (FAs is lovely) and blackcurrant (I prefer TWs Blackcurrant to FAs)

Dunno if it'll help you but I mix a large ratio of Nic/VG/PG, then decant this when required into little bottles with the flavourings in.
For CE4s I just drip the flavour in and top up with juice.

Thanks for that - I had thought about preparing the base mix ready to add the flavour - good to see it's a "normal" thing to do. At the moment I'm enjoying the "lab" experience:D

I got into mixing my own pretty much the same way you did Wrenny, bought a mixing kit from TW and started messing about. I use a great calculator called eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator I might try a few different flavours from different companies as I only have TW at the moment, by the way you can buy PG & VG at your local boots in larger quantities and cheaper.

On the subject of Boots PG liquid, they most probably don't have it on the shelf and you may need to order it, and they will almost certainly ask you what you want it for, its up to you what you say but I didn't want to get into explaining about e liquid mixing so I said it was for a disco smoke machine, less hassle. It was just over eight quid for 500ml (propylene Glycol BP made by J M Loveridge).

just an update.

Mixed my first batch 12 march and just mixed the last batch the nicotine mix would provide at 16mg strength - now completely gone.

7 or so weeks doesn't seem bad considering I use the ecig quite a bit - I have used approx 100ml of the doluents and 50ml of the nicotine so that suggests approx 150ml of liquid ate strengths varying from 16mg upto 20mg.

It would have cost me around £65 for the premixed bought at 30ml quantities and I paid around £35 for the mixing liquids including the flavours/ diluents. I still have enough diluents/ flavours to get another 150ml - just ordered another 50ml of the 54mg nicotine liquid. This all means that I could spend £55 for 300ml of juice against £130 if I bought pre-mixed.

Pretty pleased all in :)

I`m doing my own mixes at the moment and being as I vape mainly tobacco based flavours I`ve looked into the Nicotine base and found that if I buy a strong mg nicotine liquid I can cut it down and use it as a base for my mixes.
I buy a mild tobacco flavour such as flue-cured or USA in 36mg and cut it with the PG/VG to make an 18mg base.
The nicotine content is then right but the flavour is obviously diluted so I then add my highlights to this :)
I use Flavour Art flavouring at the moment as they seem to be the most concentrated and so far I hav`nt been disappointed with the flavour.
I buy 100ml of 36mg liquid from Mist E-liquid for £14.99 and cut that in half giving me enough base for 200ml, the VG I get from Boots for £1.29 for 250ml! The PG I get online for £3 for 100ml as i`ve yet to source a shop or chemist that will sell it over the counter.
To this I factor in £1.50 for the Flavour art flavouring but doubt if I use that much in 200ml!
As a rough guide this works out for me at £20 for 200ml of any flavour mix (tobacco flavour under lying the added highlights) or £1 per 10ml bottle :D
This is approx as I`ve got 150ml of VG left plus more than enough flavouring as the bottles go a long way! So the next batch is even cheaper as I only need to buy another 100ml of 36mg Liquid and a 100ml bottle of PG so that gives me another 200ml for £17.99

I buy my tobacco "base" here..
