I just submitted my order for one of the Vapor King starter kits! I chose manual batteries but commented that I want 1 auto and one manual, so hopefully they'll send that. I asked for the auto to be blue single logo and the manual to be chrome. CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO GET HERE!

Interesting thing:

I've been smoking for 8 years. Love smoking hate the health risks. I quit for 4 days, then I became interested in e-cigs. I realized, I don't need the nicotine at all, I want the sensation, the hobby, the habit. Then I decided that I would start smoking analogs again, only until I got the e-cig (weak will I know). But something weird happened. I don't enjoy cigs anymore!?!

I think its all this research, and just the mental idea of getting an ecig with clean vapor and flavor....well now cigerretes feel dirty, they taste foul (yes thats from the 4 days off) and I genuinely don't enjoy it. I've been lighting them for the past 2 days only to throw them away half done or less then half done. I don't understand it, something I've loved for 8 years has overnight turned into something I don't enjoy at all (but still crave in some sense). Even just the mental effect THINKING about vaping has had is strange and awesome! It's no wonder so many people use it to quit!

it's funny you say that... i pal'd around here for a few days before i got my order and i had the same exact thing happen (except i hadn't quit). spending hours reading this forum to understand what i was buying better resulted in me cringing every time i ashed my cig, every time i emptied an ash tray i wrinkled my nose. :D i think it has had a lot to do with my success at switching. i've lit a couple of analogs since i started vaping, smoked 2 (not in the past week or so tho), but each time it was with distaste. not the 'omg i'm messing up i'm a failure' distaste i had from trying to quit in the past, but the 'this isn't a sleek, clean vape' distaste. :D keep posting & reading, & learning, and when you get your kit we'll be here to lend a hand/support/advice if you need it!

I still want a cig to some degree. I have not had one for two reasons: I have been smoke free for 18 1/2 days and want to keep the streak alive and I am afraid if I have one I still will occasionally have them. I think what I miss or still crave is the habits I have had for the past seventeen years. Hopefully it will continue to fade away. I hope it will eventually be one of those things I can no longer remember and vaping is the only thing I know so I wont feel like I miss it or have anything to compare it to.

SaveFerris, I felt exactly like that since I started vaping 26 days ago. I didn't want to ruin my streak, but I remembered how cigs had tasted good at one time. For the past 2 weeks or so, I've had a nagging sense of wanting to try an analog again but didn't want to ruin my streak. A couple days ago, I decided to light one up just to see how much of my memory of them was real, and how much was just an illusion. I took the 'lighting' puff, and one additional puff, and then threw it out. It was AWFUL! At that very moment, I realized that I'm completely done with analogs. There was no longer that little nagging feeling in the back of my head that kind of missed the cancer sticks.

So instead of feeling ashamed that I 'broke' my streak, I felt empowered that I no longer have to think of it as a streak anymore. No longer will I have to count days to prove to myself I have quit. The only reason to keep track of days quit now is so that if people ask, I can proudly tell them how long it's been, and how easy.

Darrigaaz, Yeah I hope to have the same luck. I said if I can make it a month then I can do it. I might light an analog after my month goal just to see if I can get rid of my nagging feeling. It sure would be great to be to have that empowered feeling of really being able to say I never need or want another cig again and mean it!
