So new to the forum.. thought I would say hello!!! I was a PAD smoker for 13 years.. "Reds".. I have just now started to vape. I was truly disgusted with Blu's and Mjoys. This is my personal opinion and some others may like them, but after scanning the forum for the past few days that looks highly unlikely ;)

I did some research on what brands were out there and decided on the Halo G6. "Note: I ordered the starter kit and picked Torque 56 @ 12mg. I would not recommend choosing this flavor and ONLY this flavor for your first time.. this can be a little much in the mornings and such with nothing else to smoke or vape." This is my personal experience tho.

My only other option was to run to the local mall kiosk "TecEcig" and purchase some pre-filled cartomizers (vanilla, caramel, green apple) to get me by. This will not do.. I dont need to be a veteran vape master to tell the quality. I went ahead and ordered some 6mg Tribeca and 6mg Midnight apple from Halo until I had a chance to get registered and seek some knowledge.

As someone who has quit smoking recently and started vaping to quit smoking.. I already enjoy the vaporizing experience. I dont think I would give up vaping after killing off the nicotine ... :vapor:

Thanks! :)

Hello and welcome and congrats Newbie2! You made a great choice in choosing the HALO G6. I too have it, and I think it's AMAZING. If you scroll down the main page, you will see the "HALO room". Come on by and say hello to all the other "HALO-er's".

Well I just dumped the analogs too and jumped into vapeing with both feet I went from PAD to 0 basically overnight now the word has spread and I felt the natural urge to start some research. I'm sure I have just scratched the surface but just ordered 60 kits to get rid of to friends family and co-workers I have to beat them off with a stick the only thing I'm foreseeing in the near future is keeping them all stocked with Nic juice in Western Canada as they have all said WE want what you have. KEEP IT COMING!!! Problem is Canada is a bit sticky on the nicotine infused juice but I have found a few distributors so I can buy a bit in bulk. Question is has anyone ever orderred Nic juice from overseas and had an issue with customs?

Congrats on quitting! I agree- the Blus & Njoys taste like donkey ..., but they have their place. After all, myself & many of the people on these forums started on those & were turned on to the world of vaping. "Gateway" vapes, if you will. If you have questions- ask there is a wealth of knowledge on these forums. And most of all, enjoy yourself!

I'd suggest getting some Tribeca and/or Malibu from Halo and rolling with that. I was able to quit completely and immediately with a G6 kit and those two flavors, although either one would have worked for me. That was just two weeks ago, and i've bought a few other things to go along with the G6 (like some Triton parts, and some ego parts from a local store, and most recently some more juice and a ProTank for the eGo) but you can go a long way with just the G6 stuff. It is great quality and is working well for me. Good luck.

Welcome and congrats!

Torque is definitely not for the faint of heart. Pleased don't be discouraged by the taste or harshness of any given juice flavor; tastes vary so much. There's no way to know ahead of time what will or will not agree with you. By the same token, don't be too quick to drop your nicotine levels; it's probably better to err on the higher side at least at the beginning. Worse comes to worst, you can always dilute it later, but I doubt very much that 12mg is too much nicotine for you.

Personally I started (and remain) @ 24mg after 20 years of smoking 2 packs per day of Camel Lights. I haven't had any urge to smoke a cigarette since. But if I'd started with Torque I probably would have reacted just as you did; it's one of the harsher flavors available from Halo. Instead, I was luckier; I started with Turkish Tobacco and Tribeca, and several dozen flavor samplers later, Turkish is still by far my favorite.

Anyway, good luck. :)

Welcome Newbie2!!
IMO all of Halo flavors tend to be on the strong side. I like that. There are other juices out there that aren't as strong. I don't think dropping to 6mg is going to make a difference and you might need 12mg to start with. There are other vendors on this forum make good juices and some good tobacco flavors too.

Hey

hope it works for you.

I went through all the ego t ego c. Ego crap. And spent a good amount of $$$ tryin hard to land on something that worked..
Not into mods yet...but have been off cigs for 3 yrs now....much better. I still enjoy my nic but not hacking my gonads up anymore.

Now using KANGERTECH. BCCs and loving it. Make my own coils, mix my own juice. Use VV spinner batts and USB passthrough.
Keep it up!!!

I hope you can find a local vape shop...and a good one. That is where I started 4 months ago. He hooked me up with a pair of ego batteries, and some Kanger tanks. These are the bottom feed, but more importantly I can get through a day with one tank full. He hooked me up with 2 of each in case I had a problem with either I have a spare....preventing me from gong back to the easily available cigarettes.

For the first couple of months I used what he provided, at a fair price and local (I like both those things).

I still use Ego' and Kanger, but upgraded to the pro tanks - and started making my own juice.

You don't have to do any of that, but for me finding a good, honest, local, vape shop got me off on the right foot....

There is a Canada Forum here on ECF. I would go over there and pose your specific questions. I know a couple of people who vape and are in Canada and have heard they can't buy from a number of places. There are threads on this here also. Do a search on shipping eliquid to Canada and see what comes up. Should give you some answers. Sorry I could not help more. By the way, Welcome to ECF.

Congratulations on starting vaping. Halo and the G6 are a good company and good device. The torque is quite harsh from reading reviews. There are many better tobaccos out there. Many people really enjoy the Halo Tribecca. Halo is also known for several of their other flavors. Try one of their sample packs, mine came in a tin, and you will get small bottles so you can decide on a few flavors you like. There are thousands of different liquids to try. Search around on ECF and do some reading. You will find a few vendors that will interest you. Try sample packs.

Welcome to ECF.

Wow.. thank you for all the replies!

A good way to start off here! I am fairing ok on dropping my nic lvl fast. I decided to quit on Sunday Sept. 29th. Between Sept. 30th and the 5th of Oct. I had only smoked 3 packs. Bought one more for Saturday.. smoked one after breakfast.. and gave the rest away. During that time I had ordered the G6 and bought an Njoy. I thought that the G6 better taste a lot better than this crap or the quitting process was going to be rough. I had planned on quitting "cold turkey". Good thing I found Vaping! :vapor:

All of my vaping products will more than likely will come from the internet as the local scene here is pretty bad.. (anything too "new" scares people around here..) I could get just about any type of store bought ie. blu, Njoy, egreen? at just about any gas station. The local spot in the mall must make a killing. I just picked up a caramel carto from there because I just can out of all my other carts and I was not going to buy a pack of smokes. ( I dunno I have only been going through about 1 carto a day @ 11mg?) I hope my Halo flavors get here tomorrow.. USPS tracking still says Electronic Info Received.. We all know what that means :glare:

Thank you again!!
