Just received my KR808D-1 Vapor King. Woot!

So I guess I'm now officially part of the eCigarette club, and boy does it feel nice! Now that I've just started vaping, I have a few questions for you guys who also just recently started (or even people who have been at it a long time, if you can remember back to the first day you began!)...

I hooked up my first cartomizer and battery and pressed the button on my manual. I heard it start to sizzle and I sucked in a little quick, let out the smoke (to help prime it, this is a good idea, yes?) and as I inhaled my next drag.......OUCH! The throat hit was INTENSE and I immediately began coughing.

So the question is...When you FIRST vaped, did you get that intense throat hit that lit your throat on fire? I don't know if maybe I'm just not used to this much nicotine or if maybe I'm not used to the vapor I'm sucking in and blowing out, who knows...

It's definitely not hindering my experience in the least bit because I absolutely LOVE it. I'm just curious if maybe everyone had this same experience...

Also.. This ecig doesn't put anything into my lungs that I'm going to be coughing up later, is it? Because another thing I noticed is that after I've taken a few drags, I cough up a bunch of mucous. I'm not sick or anything, and I haven't been coughing like that at all lately.. So I drew the conclusion that either it's putting something into my lungs that I'm going to be coughing up eventually, or maybe it's actually vaporizing the junk that's already in my lungs and my body is ALREADY starting to reject the old tar from regular analogs.

So anyway... Thanks a bunch for everyone who's helped me out so far. Hopefully I can get some pretty clear answers on the above situations..

Oh man.. I left out a question and I can't edit my post above.. So sorry for this double-post.. But for the people who have ordered the Vapor King bundles from Vapor4Life and received the USB charger.. How do I know when the battery is 100% charged? I plugged the cigarette into the USB charger and plugged the charger into my computer.. The battery blinked 3 times and the USB charger light is lit up blue on constant. Is blue a sign that it's completely charged or would it turn to a different color?

Yes, my first few hours vaping I had a hard time not coughing. Like you, I decided it was the nicotine content. I've since changed my mind on the later. Now I think it is more getting used to vapour, as opposed to smoke that you're inhaling. It isn't smoke and the sensation is not quite the same. I've actually gone to mostly higher nic levels since then, and don't cough any more than I did inhaling my old analogs.

About the mucus ... I had no similar experience.

Should be there under settings and under 'edit avatar'.

Yea, I finally got it.. I totally forgot that vBulletin databases usually update every hour or so. So that's why I wasn't able to see it after I hit 15.. All good now though!

My first day with the KR, the throat hit was intense. Not sure if I am already used to it or the crud in my body is clearing out so the hit seems a bit more mellow.
