I was the weird one who lung-hit cigarettes. I blame how young I was when I started, and the fact I hadn't a clue what I was doing ;) I feel so dumb saying this but I still to this day cannot figure out how to properly MTL... I've tried and it just seems so unnatural... Come to think of it, that's probably why I moved off the carto/clearos at the speed of light!

Welcome to the board. You must be younger and have better lungs than I. If I tried direct to lung hits with 12mg juice, I'd be in the hospital. The bottom line is, whatever works for you is where you need to be. I am assuming you're using the 1.8 ohm coils in that Triton; subohming 12mg DTL is far too stiff for most people. But no problem either way. The Triton's airflow can be opened for DTL, or squeezed down for MTL. I think, if it's keeping you off the sticks, then you're doing it right.
I was completely wrong as its 6mg not 12. I'm just so new to this I don't know what's what yet. Lol!

My best advice is probably to get yourself distracted, do something you have to totally focus on...and try to hit your vape without thinking about it...you'll find what is most natural to you...then you can tweak your setup, juice etc to fit that...but we already know I'm weird lol

I've tried many times to MTL to no prevail. Much like you, it doesn't feel right. I'm still getting to know my unit but it seems as tho I need to adjust the settings according to the flavor of juice I have in the tank.

Since we seem similar...lol...here's my experience, take it with a handful o' salt as I'm less than a year in myself... I get the best satisfaction from a dripper, cuz I can just rip it and really taste it without having to think at all about how I'm hitting it. I got to drop nic level a lot with that switch which I also like. Anything with restricted airflow actually gives me a headache, probably a reverse placebo effect tbh but hey lol. Tank-wise I like the Billow for an RTA (ppl say it's tight, but doesn't have to be) or the Atlantis for a store bought coil tank. I've never bought an Atlantis but I've used em and liked em, just too much constant expense for me. I used the kanger Subtank to learn to build bcuz of the prebuilt/RBA combo, which was good for learning without having the "throw it out the window in frustration" moments, but I never thought it gave really good flavor like some of the others do, even when I had a subtank-lovin' friend build it his way, the FLAVOR just wasn't there for me. Anyway I'm rambling again. G'nite all :)

Yep.
I agree.
Lung hits seem to work best with an rda.
I personally think the air flow on the billow v2 is fine.
A tiny bit tight. ... but the flavor is very nice.
Mmmmmmmmmm yes, yes. .... very nice.
(Eh, read that last bit in a jeff goldblum voice)
Meh. Read it in sean connery.

Yep, sure do! Each ejuice has its own 'sweet spot' for best flavor; I think tobaccos typically take higher power settings, and sweeter stuff usually lower... but it's really all in what tastes best to YOU. Unlike cigarettes, there is no "one size fits all." :thumb:
