I just received my new silver vein silver bullet and I am thrilled! I love it! This is my second silver bullet. I bought my first one over two and a half years ago. I had been vaping for six months when I got it but I could not completely give up cigarettes until I got the silver bullet. I had a 5-volt device prior to getting the bullet but it never worked properly and I sent it back and forth to the vendor three times before I finally gave up and purchased the bullet. Since then, I have never had a problem with my silver bullet and I never smoked another cigarette. It is a little beat up from the abuse I have given it (the paint is a little chipped from dropping it on a hard tile floor), but the button still works. I think I finally stripped the atomizer connection from constantly flooding my cartomizers and having to take them out to wipe it out. For a little while, I thought I was getting poorly threaded cartos until I finally figured it out. So, anyway…it was time for a new one! When I decided I needed a new device, the decision was easy. I don’t think there is a more reliable, well-made mod out there. If it is possible, I would love to have my original bullet fixed so I have a back up. I vape an ego during the day at work, but I was really sad without my bullet for a few days until I remembered my son had a double atomizer top I could borrow while I waited for my order….which by the way…took two days!!! I ordered my bullet and a new ego kit Thursday morning and they arrived today. Two days from PA to FL!!! I rarely post here, but I just want to say a big thank you to Chad for the silver bullet and to AltSmoke for outstanding service!

Congrats on your new Silver bullet. I also have two of them that have a permanent home. I am constantly changing accessories also. To alleviate wear and tear on the SB connection I use a 510 to 510 adapter. When the threads wear out, I put in a new adapter. Works Great.

I'm quite sure that if you get in contact with Chad at Altsmoke that he will be more than happy to repair your older one for you. For a nominal fee of course. Good Luck!

Marty,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. What a great idea! I never thought of that but I am definetly going to pick up a couple of those. Not that I have a problem with my old one wearing out after so long and so much abuse, but I might as well preserve it as much as possible. I'd be happy to pay to have my old bullet repaired. It would be great to have an extra, just in case.

I have both a SB and BB. I absolutely love both of them. The SB has earned its reputation as one of the gold standards of advanced personal vaporizors. And in my opinion, the BB is just a smaller version of the SB.

A couple weeks ago I experienced a battery venting in the BB. Absolutely my negligence. I tossed it into a pants pocket along with my SB in my work locker, and the BB's bulbous switch became pressed and fired continuously until the battery blew. (There's a thread with pics here on the forum) Long story short, despite this incident, the BB appeared to be none the worse thru it all. It seemed to work with a new battery for a few days, then stopped altogether.

Filed a CS ticket at AltSmoke. Chad replied and offered to take a look at it, suspecting that the switch's insulated wiring probably was damaged in the battery incident. I shipped the BB out to him and it was returned good as new a few days later. Thanks again, Chad. You guys are the best.

You might be interested in getting one of these leather mod sleaves to help protect your SB. I ordered one of the dragonhide sleeves and it should be ready in a week or so.

Nice pink...heh heh. :p I love tanks on my AltSmoke apv's. I use 3 and 6 ml polypropylene DCT. I had been looking for an even larger capacity tank for my favorite juice. I found the 8.5 ml BFT at Vaporescence and the 8.5 ml Gummy tank. I have been trying to get away from using polycarbonate tanks, and that is all these two vendors offer.

That looks like a pretty nice tank on the right. What brand and capacity is that one?

Marty – I ordered some 510 to 510 connectors. Thank you for that suggestion. So much easier to rise that out than have to clean out my atomizer connection on my SB.
Baditude – I opened a ticket this morning. I know they take very good care of their customers, it’s just that my original SB is so old I wondered if they would still fix it for a fee. The mod sleeves are cool!!! And the SB lanyard…I have to have one of those too!
Menthall – I love your pink SB and BB. I debated getting a pink or red one. It seems I am always leaving my SB somewhere in the house and it sort of blends into the background. I’m sure a pretty pink one would stand out. I LOVE my new silver vein too, but maybe a pink one is in my future. 

I agree Silver Vein is a beautiful finish!

I ordered a lanyard for my BB when I ordered the dragon hide sleeve for my SB, as it is smaller and lighter than the SB. I'm more likely to bring it out and about with me, like at festivals or concerts. I may end up getting one for the SB, but I don't know if I'd like it rubbing or banging against my chest.

I did want something to help protect my SB's finish, tho. I have a white one, so I could see it showing markings if I'm not super careful with it, and we know no matter how much we try to baby them, they eventually get scratched or marked up. I think that I will like the tecture of the dragon hide, which I ordered in red.

I have a Chrome one for the desk and a Silver Vein for on the go. Love the texture of the Silver Vein. Easy to grip and won't just slip out of your hand.

When I ordered my first SB Altsmoke was out of the Silver Vein, so I got the chrome finish. A few days later the DW had a hissy fit because I was going to take it outside. "Much to nice to ruin" she said. I told her to hold that thought as I went back online to Altsmoke and got the Silver Vein finish that was currently back in stock. Win, Win...lol.

That's a smart idea Marty. The chrome is like a piece of art. A real "show piece" Lol. It deserves to be protected. I dropped my pink SB on the cement one day. I was devastated, luckily it only has the slightest scar! Barely visible to the naked eye. From that day on I vowed to always keep it covered when I take it outside.

I got the electric blue one. Wanted the storm trooper white but they were OOS. Blue was my second pick.

Now just need a 18490 and a kick :)

Nice looking setup with the tank. How do you like the ViVi Nova and what juice you got in there? Yeah, I got my storm trooper SB a couple of months ago; I like the white as I can put any color combo of tank or drip tip on and it looks good. I'll have to take a couple of pics of it with the new body sleeve and pyrex tank I just got and post here.

Until you can find a kick and extension, you could get a couple of the 4.8V NiMH batteries. I've found that 5 volts can really improve your satisfaction of many juices with more flavor and vapor. I got mine here 4.8V NiMH 600mah Battery. You'd need to get the dedicated 5 volt charger, too. This site is the only one I found that had a dedicated charger that actually lets you know when the battery is finished charging.

I saw on alts website to not use those 5v batts or use stacked ones. I'm just afraid of batts exploding my teeth lol.

I am currently on a vision stone 3.0ohm tanko. It's okay but my 510 dccs are better at VP and TH My nova won't be here till Monday :(. The juice is outlaw apple from v4l spiced with red apple from TPA. Good stuff. Waiting on my pink spot vapor juice on Monday as well.

Finally got around to taking some pics of the SB with its mod sleeve, and the BB with its lanyard, both from Serenity Gear. The texture of the dragon hide is really nice, allows for a firm grip and feels good in your hand.

Got two new tanks this weekend from Valley View Vapes. Both are 7ml pyrex glass/silicone grommet tanks. They were dirt cheap for $15 each.
