I've been at this for some time now. I'm finding that RY4 is about as good as it gets. Rich tobacco flavor backed by a hint of Carmel and Vanilla. Loads of vapor and a great TH. The flavor itself is a must have. It has kept me off analogs for over two years. I'd never thought I would say that. I smoked even when I played football. I was always with a cigg in my mouth. Got me a good case of throat cancer last year a year after I quit smoking. It caught up with me. My Dr's don't mind if I vape. I'm slowly working my way though the many RY4 offerings out there. Love it!

David: Hi , thanks for sharing your story here. That throat cancer thing is what scared me so much to want to start vaping instead. What's your situation now? Did you get treated? Can you tell me a bit about it? Also where do you get your RY 4 from?

Regarding RY 4:

I'm finding that it's really nice but it's got a very 'dry' taste to it... it's not a moist tobacco flavor for sure. Reminds me of dunhills or winstons.. Unlike marlboros which don't give you this sorta after taste (i'm talking bout analogues here).

I'm also puffin' on Juice .....'s Ultimate Pipe. Now this one is very very similar to RY4 From LF's. But it doesn't have that dry taste, and there's a lot more caramel or some sorta butter scotch taste to it. It's also not as spicy as RY 4. What's that spicy flavor btw, does anyone know?

I like LF RY4 too. I order the VG version at 14mg nicotine. I keep a 30ml bottle in. I really like to mix this eliquid with some other brands (as the vanilla stands out to me). I found I love it with a few drops of BWB Casablanca (though Casablanca is also good on it's own). I have also mixed it with peach and blueberry. LF's RY4 is on the sweet side...but I think they also have RY3, RY2, etc. The sweetness in the VG version is less pronounced than in the PG type. I have reordered LF RY4 a few times. It's not the top RY4 I've had (tobacco wise)...but I do like it because I can taste it and it's good by itself or as a mix.

What's the throat hit like with just VG juice Frew?

I am sorry I didn't include throat hit. I am not a fan of throat hit so I forget to include it. Anyway, it does have a good throat hit ( i first had the PG version) and with the VG...plenty of vapor. Thing is I can't really tolerate TH and am a terrible judge of TH. I tend not to inhale most times, when I vape. I usually only inhale out of habit and then I try not to when I realize I am inhaling or my throat bothers me. I guess I am trying to unlearn inhaling.
I do want folks to understand this RY4 is not like BWB RY4 which has more of a tobacco base. I have not tried lot's of RY4s and am not able to rate this juice as far as RY4s go. I just went with what I taste and how I enjoy using it. It's always good to buy smaller sizes on any new eliquid; when trying them out.

Mechanicallighter,
Thanks for the reply. I had major surgery that remove large amounts of flesh in throat. I also had my jugular vein removed that part of the tumor was attached on. I also had quite a few lymph nodes taken out in the lower neck. After I healed some from the sugery I received a stretch of radiation. I was a analog and pipe smoker for a long time. I developed a sore on my gum. Went in for a scan and a week later was sent down to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor MI. Fantastic hospital for my kind of cancer. I now have gone through 3 scans and glad to say they show no cancer. I'm lucky so far. The bummer part of the whole thing is I quit smoking for almost a year before getting cancer detected.
My doctor said he doesn't mind me vaping. He's going to reccomend it to patients that have to quit analogs! They were giving a prescription of the nic enhalers to the die hards. That's me. The e cig is much better to quit with.
I've bought RY4 from many of the sites. I bought from chineese sights several years ago that had the old recipe. Great stuff. The problem for me is that only a handfull of sites offer 36mg. I don't like to get 24mg and add more nic. That often waters down most juices as far as flavor.
I now buy mostly from FSUSA"S 36 mg Ry4. It isn't like other Ry4's. It does have a rich tobacco flavor, Loads of vapor at 50 vg to 50 Pg. The throat hit is awesome at 36mg. I need this type of strong TH to keep off of analogs. It has worked and I'm at around 28 months without analogs. Fsusa's Ry4 has a flavor of it's own. As I stated it's not like the original, but to me darn good and satisfying. I also vape Wyatt Earp in 36mg from FSUSA. Same thing, it's rich, loads of vapor and TH. They sell larger bottles of juice. I've been buying 60 ml for 25.00 or 120 ml for 40.00. Darn good IMO.
I'm not a big fan of juice that's all VG. It's to weak in the TH department. I like either 50 PG to 50 VG or even 70 pg to 30 VG.
One thing I know is that RY4 is a juice that smokers can quit analogs with, once you get the proper mg level for you. A mix of pg has much more flavor than straight VG.
Take care,
Dave

There is a great thread on the RY4s. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-liquids/193327-really-big-ry4-roundup-long.html It ranks them by how the OP likes them, and later in the thread, by class (sweet, nutty, dry, etc). He has added more vendor reviews along the way. Others have contributed their input, too.

Awesome thread for finding what might be right for you.

My favorite is http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...um/192420-official-quick-nic-juice-thred.html QuicknicJuice's RY4. It is a full flavored, sweet vape. Lots of creamy caramel, nice woody tobacco. I also like many others. PrimeVaping, BackWoodsBrew, JooglerJuice, OzarkFresh, LiquidXpress, and LibertyFlights. I won't mention the nasty ones, but billherbst (who started the thread above) states which ones he hates (and I agree).

David,
Thanks for sharing. I do inhale a bit here and there ...and enjoy it occassionally...but try not to to much. With that said...I would say that I enjoyed the inhale from BWB's RY4 more than LF's RY4. Than again, I do use VG with the LF version and really can't remember what the PG version (LF) was like. Backwoods Brew is 70/30 PG/VG and has a nice tobacco background and enticing throat hit for me. With me trying not to inhale...I have difficulty not inhaling the BWB version...I do sort of enjoy it. Hope this helps.
