Just recieved my joye 510 today.

Hey everyone!

Let start out by saying that this site is wonderful. I have spent a couple days researching e-cigs, and ECF has helped a lot.

I bought a joye 510 starter kit from rocky mountain vapor with 3 e-juices. They also threw in a tiny V-Nano clearomizer which

has been working extremely well.

I love the joye 510. It has worked far better than I expected although that might have something to do with the clearomizer.

I am however already thinking about upgrading. My first batt lasted about 25 mins after 3 hours of charging. My second one is still

going, but I suspect that it doesn't have much left.

I have 3 possible models in mind for my upgrade, and I am hoping to solicit some opinions.

My 3 contenders are:

The ego with a couple 1000 mah twist batts

Itaste V3 (I really like everything this one can do, but I dont like that it only comes with one batt)

Halo Triton with a couple 900 mah twist batts ( This is my oddball pick. I just really like the look)

I am also open to other suggestions. I would like to keep the cost sub 200 with accessories and everything.

Your going to end up going there anyways so you might as well pick up a nice tube mod with some removable rechargeable batteries. Check out the Vamo v5, SVD, Zmax or something similar. Grab a couple 18650s and a Nitecore i2 charger. You could get all that plus tanks/cartos and juice for under 200 easy.

Just keep learning, reading posts, and asking questions. For most, vaping is a never ending journey to find the best personal experience.

I have considered the removable battery mods, but if I am being honest these hi-end batteries are intimidating. I fear I might burn my house
down with them.

As long as you use safe batteries and have a very basic understanding of volts watts and ohms, it's very safe. Don't let it intimidate you but then again don't buy anything your not comfortable with.

Get a Vision Spinner to start with, that will be a nice upgrade and give you a taste of VV (variable voltage) Keep watching videos from guys like pbusardo (youtube) and reading posts on here. You will eventually discover what your needs are and what you want.

Just a tip, don't spend a bunch of money on something right outta the gate. Your preferences are likely to change.

First of all Welcome, and congrats on making the ecig choice. I started with the "cig-a-like" style just like you and went to the Kgo (ego Clone) which i liked and still use on occasion, but I outgrew that is a month or two. With that said, I would suggest looking at the Innokin 2.0 MVP or the 3.0 which has a different form. Depending on how you vape they can last a day or 2 on a single charge. they have simple features that let you expand your options as you learn. There is a learning curve with ecigs because everyones needs, wants, and tastes are different and you will have to figure out what will work best for you so so buying a large mod may be a bit much. I have been vaping on and off for close to a year and can tell you there are so many options that you can quickly go broke trying to buy the biggest and baddest devices as you learn. "ZombieJuice" is right tho, if you stick with it you will most likely want more and the cost will go up, but as a beginner sometimes less is more. I want to see you learn at your pace and succeed instead of becoming frustrated with the many options and giving up. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Now, down to business.

The eGo and the eGo Twist are both batteries. So, I'm not sure what you mean by combining an eGo with a Twist.

The Halo Triton looks like a Kanger T2 on an eGo battery. The only problem is, I think the Halo products are all 808-threaded. If so, they won't work with Twist batteries (which are 510-threaded). Hopefully, someone will come along that has used Halo products to confirm whether this is true or not.

ah yes I messed up with ego bit. I meant to say an ego starter kit that has the atomizers and such and then get a couple of ego twist batts to add vv to my options.
