Looks easier than it sounded. I am going to try that out tonight. So my questions are:

On the 10 empty nic cartridges I have, can I take out the filler, and re insert the tea bag ?

Once the juice is depleted, can I refill as in a normal cartridge, or do I have to make a new tea bag mod ?

Smoking my 510, and hits are few and far between . I soak my attys in mouthwash overnight, and dry in the morning. I have no liquor, so what is the next best thing ?

Thanks !

Yes, you can pull the filler out of your existing used carts and replace with the tea bag material. That's what I do (have yet to order any "empty" carts, since I had such a huge collection of pre-filled). In fact, I've pulled the filler out of unused carts (I don't like the "tobacco" flavor must come pre-filled with). Just make sure you rinse and dry the cart well.

Once the tea bag material begins to dry out after use, you can refill. If you're changing flavors, you might want to pull the tea bag material out and rinse it in hot water, the dry in a paper towel, to keep from mixing flavors. It's a good idea to do this occasionally anyway.

So far, I've had great luck with the tea bag material being reused multiple times. It seems to hold up much better than the poly-fill that comes standard in the carts. (And doesn't unweave and singe onto your atty.)

As for your throat hit problems, I had the same issues until I figured out the perfect draw. If yours is a manual battery, press the button about half a second before you start your drag. Then drag very lightly but steadily for about 4 seconds. Let go of the button just before you stop dragging, then quickly inhale into your lungs.

Also, if you're getting a good hit for a drag or two before it tapers off, try tapping the e-cig lightly, battery side down to aid in the juice wicking towards the atty. Or make it look like a butterfly between your fingers by wiggling it in between drags.

Lastly, the tea bag material wicks better (wicks up faster and makes better contact with the atty if done right), so it may help your throat hit issues all on its own.

Hope this helps.

BTW: We're now learning that cleaning/soaking our attys is what is causing them to die! I have stopped soaking them now. A quick blow out, tweeze out any nastiness, and prime to use again.

Really?! That's good to know. I hadn't gotten around to soaking yet. Just been blowing them out with compressed air and cleaning the inside of the chamber with a slightly damp Q-tip to remove any foriegn matter. I do that about once every two or three days, or if I'm changing flavors that I don't think will mix well (like menthol to peach...)
