It's so amazing to read all the threads here. You don't see people talking about how much they LOVE smoking 'analogues' anywhere. There's no forum that I've found where people are posting how tasty and lovely and refreshing their cancer sticks are.

You guys are making me all excited about this. This seems more like a bunch of enthusiasts than anything. It is exciting and confusing all at the same time!

Yes PLEASE let us know how you're doing when you start.
The Best of Luck and Happy vaping.

To switch it for another kind of addiction... That is much less toxic.

That's not what I said, but if that's how you feel about it, that's fine for you.
To be honest with you, I feel like I've replaced one addiction with another as well. Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely thrilled I was finally able to give up analogs after trying everything imaginable over the years without success.
I've been off of them for a month now, and I couldn't be happier. And this forum and the members here are fantastic.
Still, I'm totally obsessed with e-cigs now. In addition to hardly ever being able to put the thing down, I've been going crazy buying supplies, juices, etc, since I started this.
I've always had an addictive personality in one form or another and this is no different.

Many now call it a hobby, and it certainly can be, and in fact is.
But for me (at least so far), if this isn't another form of addiction, I don't know what is.

My goal was to stop smoking cigarettes which I have tried to do and was never able to do in the past. My mom, a 60 year smoker with COPD has been able to quit smoking cigarettes by vaping. I consider that a miracle. She's happy, her doctor is happy.

That was my goal and I achieved that, end of story. As I said, you may feel differently and that's fine. I'm really done beating myself up over smoking and the whole addiction thing. I'm no longer blowing second hand smoke. People no longer have to act like I stepped in dog s*it or wave the air like cigs were the worst smell in the world. If people don't like it, well... that's on them.

Please swedishfish...as I said, don't take me wrong. :) I was afraid I may ruffle some feathers here with my post, and it appears maybe I have. My goal was also to stop smoking cigarettes which I have tried to do and was never able to do in the past. (I'm sure that was the goal for most of us).
And as I also said, I'm totally thrilled that I was finally successful.
I was just making an observation that applies to me specifically.
And I still can't help but wonder if others who are new to vaping sometimes feel the same way. However, it seems people who vape really hate the word "addiction" being mentioned. (Probably related to how horrible analogs were...a truly hideous addiction compared to vaping).
Ok...I'll shut up now.
And thanks to you folks who have taught me a lot in the short time I've been off of analogs. ;)

Oh no, you're not! I know what your saying and it's true. I look at my signature and just laugh at what I supposedly saved. What a joke. My husband calls my pv table my Breaking Bad lab. It's seriously out of control.

I just don't really care if I'm addicted to nicotine (which I am). I'm just so thrilled to be vaping I can't stand it. I just hated myself that I was smoking and couldn't quit. Maybe someday I'll hate myself for still being addicted to nicotine, who knows. For now I'm really happy.

Edit: hahaha! I forgot, my banner is gone! Oh well, according to the banner it's like $2,000 I think.

Yeah, those banners LIE!!! LOL I think that I'm at least breaking even, and my purchases have slowed down as I settle into what I really like to vape and what I really like to vape it with! The other numbers on my banner are probably pretty accurate, though.

The funny, fiesty Fish. I love your posts:) Friends are calling my hubby 'Walt'. He's never smoked or vaped and mixes my juice in full-on gear.

MMMMmmm, I find vaping much less addicting than cigarettes were. I was a pack a day smoker and found it really easy to go from 12mg to 6 and even zero. When all my batteries are charging which sometimes happens, I'm not nic fitting like I did with analogs. I think that the hand to mouth, inhaling and exhaling of vapor itself will be harder to stop. I enjoy it.
