I would like to thank everyone that has posted on this forum. I have been reading it for a few weeks now, and have been trying to soak up as much of your knowledge as possible before taking the plunge.

My wife and I have been smoking about a pack and a half a day for about 20 years. We have tried patches, and gum to no avail. It seems like this is our last hope.

Last week I ordered two Joye 510 starter kits. They have yet to arrive.
I also ordered a bunch of 3ml bottles of juice, and one larger bottle to get us started. The starter kits look like they will be here tomorrow. It doesn't appear that the juice has even shipped yet. I am beginning to worry that this will not be enough supply to last very long. Could someone with a little bit of experience with this Joye 510 let me know what a good supply of batteries, and attys would be for two people? I would hate to have to go a week without an alternative to analogs once I get started.

Thanks again.

Welcome,

Wait to see if you enjoy your joye510 before stocking up on accessories. There are many different types, all having there pros and cons.

I use the Joye510 and purchased a USB passthru so didn't have to keep switching batts.

You will find the Joye has a miniature nuclear sun for an atomizer and drains batts pretty quick.

The solution to this is to buy a 510 mega-battery which will last twice as long. it's about a inch longer and has a 280mah batt instead of the stock 130mah batt that comes with the kit.

As far as liquids for refilling goes - go crazy and buy lots of what you think you may like. I keep a large bottle of menthol flavor just in case there is a flavor I don't care for much. I add some menthol and it will give that flavor a kick in the pants.

Cheers

Welcome, ctroop! Good luck to you and your wife in your new vapor journey. You made a good choice for your first PVs. The 510 certainly has a strong following here, and for good reason. It is an excellent way to get into vaping.

I would think each of you should have 3 attys and perhaps 4 batts along with a PCC, and maybe a passthru, to start out with. Attys die when you least want them to, and you will probably want to get more in the future. Look for bulk sales and they can be cheap. The PCC will allow you to charge and have batts on the go. reg batts last from 30 min to and hour, give or take, depending on how much you vape. Be sure for both attys and batts to buy only Joye products, although they are sometimes rebranded with other names, but the websites often say. Totally Wicked's Joye 510 is rebranded as "Titan". Other 510 brands will fit and work, but they are often of lower quality and life expectancy. Places we like that sell 510 gear at a good price are:

Totally Wicked, but only when they run sales...good hardware but pricy normally.
Cignot
Health Cabin (China, slow possibly expensive shipping)
East-Mall
Rocky Mountain Vapor

Many others. Check the vendors at the bottom of the home page. Each have their own forum.

TW mega batts are indeed good. I carry 4 with me for a days worth of carefree vaping. If you are on the computer a lot, a passthru is a must-have...has a battery that charges continually off a USB, and will vape offline for much longer than a reg 510 batt.

Also I recommend getting manual batts. No cutoff like the automatics or other problems that are more technical in nature.

the 510 is also a good model for getting enhancements later (mods), like ones that use bigger batteries and higher voltage. If you so choose. I'm not into those things yet, as I really like the 510 as it is so far.

Good luck, have fun, and vape on!

Thanks Sign Man, and Kurt.

I will look into the stronger batteries for sure.
I guess I should go ahead and buy some more 510 attys as well.
Are all 510 attys created equal? I guess my question is should I buy a better atty for the better battery? Say maybe a stronger one. If they even exist.

Essentially they are, in theory, the same, but Joye attys tend to have better performance and lifetimes. TW is selling,or will be selling, mega attys and carts, but I don't think anyone here has tried them yet. Just buy Joye brand, if possible, and you should be fine.
