Ok, not sure if this technically on topic or off, and i would love to wave a hand in greeting saying i am from !!! part of Canada But Manitoba is not the west or the east, we are just....here LOL It is great to see such a awesome group such as this, though i am noticing (or could be comparing) that the difference between what e-cigarette you use is like talking about what Operating system you use (M$, Mac or Linux)...it is fascinating that there is basically 3 different core types of the e-cigarette....for right now i have the Fuma system (curses under my breath) which just as i typed the word fuma out the battery just ran out *slaps forhead* yeah me! In case people are interested i would write a review of what i think of the fuma or try to take pictures of it, but i am not sure where to begin on it (as i am a total n00b), and the only reason why i have it is my wife sent it to me from the states.
Now excuse me as i grumble and go looking for the charger and laugh as it looks like my computer is smoking

Haha, you made it to the Canada forum!!

I can't say that I'm familiar with the Fuma system at all...have never heard of it. That's not to say it's not a decent unit as there are many, many, many different units and suppliers of said units in the market!

Hopefully by now you've got the Canadian suppliers list in hand and are well on your way. About waiting for a charge....we've all been there, lol, and because of that, most of us have multiple units and backups for our backups!!

chuckles i sure did make it...it is like some one said i should make my way this way :p I can see now that having a second unit is a good thing :D As for the fuma it is great (so far) there is only two pieces to it, there is the battery and then the Canter...or Automatic Atomizer i think is the proper word? i did get the list and made contact with one company to check on the price for one of their e-cigarettes, as it looks very similar to the Fuma :D On that note thanks for the great information you gave me it really does help

Welcome aboard! I've never heard of the Fuma, either, but it never hurts to have a backup, or even a better E-cig for that matter, and we've got some good choices here in Canada. Good liquids, too. :) And of course the best assortment of people here on ECF as well. I hang around here more than is probably healthy, but I enjoy it and all that I do. vaping rocks and I'm thankful I managed to find it and switch.

Also, Windows 7 rig and a Macbook Pro. That's right. I surf both ways. :D

@Switched LOL thanks for the greet's. Personally i have tried Ubuntu, Pinguy, KDE, LXDE, (LMNOP ) and i have to say that mint 10 is the one i love for my dell :D (though right now i am using XP on it for a few umm programs not yet ready for Linux)

@
Song Thanks for the greet's, i am curious if you had to use something called 'bootcamp' i think it is called? i heard at one point and time that there was a way to have m$ users to install and run Mac OS, not sure how true that was

@
Mindfield Thanks for the greet's LOL so you dual boot? The only experience i have with Mac was a few years back i had purchased the desktop iMac (it was the monitor, hard drive, cd all in one), but it soon flew out a second story window with the help (more attitude) from the 'tech' i purchased it off of....the whole thing with him was sink or swim lowly m$ user on your first mac. Though i have to say one small saving grace was i was sort of prepared after using linux

@
Lori68 Thank you for the greet's, and i love the little fur child..can i ask how old he/she is?

@
lunabella Thanks...and have to love the tropical heat wave we are having here right now =)) I am not complaining about having the usual bitter winter we usually have right now...though i am wondering if that means come summer we are going to have bone chilling cold weather?

No, single boot, two different computers. I mean, I do have Parallels on my Macbook Pro, it just runs WinXP. My main desktop PC has always been Windows of one flavour or another since Win98. (Prior to that I was an Atari geek for 17 years. :)) I've used Linux, though I have more experience with shells than IDEs from my early Internet shell account days. I have a live Knoppix CD around here somewhere, and Ubuntu on a VM. Don't use 'em much tho, they were mainly for curiosity, and the Knoppix CD was an emergency thing in case my Windows OS crapped out and I needed to boot into an OS. With always-connected smartphones and tablets these days though I can still access the net even if my main PC dies. :)

I'm not much of a fanboy for operating systems these days. I have my preferences and my reasons for them but I can appreciate other systems for what they offer, even if they don't have what I need on a daily basis.

@Lori68 I am so a puppy person myself, though my wife is more a cat person. (whispers; dogs rule and cats drool) :D

@Mindfield the only fun i had with smart phones, was to jail break a iPhone 3G, tinker with the HTC that was like a blackberry clone, and a Motorola Spice (android). When the viruses came out i got rid of any and all smart phone need, which was kind of ok for me, as i ran before the carrier iq issues hit. Now a days i am rocking a LG204...yeap this bad boy can do text based web browsing, and a whopping 0.5 mega pixel picture capture off the camera built in, and allows me to pump out a blazing 1 whole text every 20 min (takes that long to write it) LOL. All kidding aside, i loved Mobilicity and Motorola Spice when i was in Calgary. The rates were good, the services even better and the fact that it was pre-paid acting like a month to month plan was the best. However, moving to Winnipeg it would seem that a company called MTS here has a strangle hold on a lot of things.

I'm a pretty big tech geek, so I gotta have my toys, and they gotta be connected. :) We've got Rogers and Bell here, plus a few MVNOs (Moblicity, Wind, Public Mobile, etc.). I'm stuck with Rogers. Expensive, but I haven't had any complaints about the service at least. Plus, I shoot all my reviews on my iPhone with the front camera so I can see what I'm doing.

I've been using my macbook for 2 years now and love it while my pc collects dust. Isn't there a saying....once with a mac you never go back.....

I do agree though - there are some irritating things about both platforms. I can and do swing both ways too

Thanks, i had just taken a big drink of coffee as i read this comment, now i need to go get a towel to clean the table and the screen from laughing

Oh my.....looks like we have a modder in our midst! Let the games begin! lol
Personally the only slight mod's i ever did was with mint software...but again though i like to use technology, i am not big on the new stuff....and as proof i can tell you i am looking forward to getting a usb joy stick, then with my big headphones on, waiting to kick some alien .... in Halo: Combat Evolved (and they are what number now?) Though i was brought into the new age with a book reader as a Christmas present from my wife....
