Hello all,

Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm 29 and currently reside in Vancouver B.C. I've been a smoker for 13 years, but as of 3 weeks ago I decided to try vaping. Since then I haven't had an analog. It all started when a coworker of mine brought his mods to work. At first I really didn't pay much attention, but then one day I saw one of his mods with a vpx cartomator tank on it, and liked the convenience factor. The next day I decided to bite the bullet, and purchase my very first e-cig. After asking him for any recommendations, I decided to buy a provari. At first I though the price was quite steep, $225CAD for an e-cig without a battery, charger, etc, but damn was it a good investment.

I have since gone from tanks, carto, and now attys, I have to say that i prefer using attys. I also figured out that I do not like tobacco based e-liquids. I thought that they would taste like an analog, oh boy was I wrong. I am still trying to find that one juice that I can say for myself is the best, but im pretty sure that will be a lengthy adventure.

If u guys, and gals have any good recommendations, on juice, attys, cartos, tanks etc... please feel free to shoot them my way. My eyes are wide open to the world of vaping, and im willing to try almost anything to find that ultimate vape.

Sincerely,
Kingzkross

Welcome Kingz! Boy you sure did start at the top WTG! I'm sure your quite happy :) As for juice....it's a journey for us all. I prefer to make my own, so I know what's going into it and it tastes very clean too.

If your happy dripping I'd say stay there. I'm a if it's not broke don't fix it kind of mind set. That being said I'm also a Boge cartomizer fan. If you feel like experimenting I'd say grab a box and see if it works for you, also grab a few DT's if you haven't already. Good luck and congrats! I'm sure your going to rock Provari with no problems.

Juice ideas....Go out of your comfort zone. Flavors I don't enjoy normally I LOVE to vape... example I HATE peaches I never ever ever eat them but what do you know it's my all day vape

Hi and welcome!

After you get 5 non-spammed posts or replies in New Members, an hour later you'll be able to post elsewhere and send PMs.

There is a Canada forum in National forums, and in Buying & Selling there are Canada Classifieds and a Canada vendor section.

Re flavors - cocoa was key for me. Most US cigs have cocoa in them. All the brands I ever smoked did. Tobacco juices with cocoa in them (built in or me adding chocolate or cocoa eliquid to them) hit the spot. The problem is finding cocoas. chocolates, cocoa tobaccos that don't drop a bunch of flavoring sediment because that will really gunk up attys and cartos.

Contrast was also important for me. I carry and vape 2 models, each with cartos. One with a non-sweet cocoa tobacco (mostly cocoa) and one with a sweet vanilla. Each refreshes my tastebuds and desire for the other.

Thanks Beans,
I've tried Boge cartomizers and actually have a few packs on order. The only thing I don't get with these is when I would know if they've gone bad or not? Ive had some that tasted funky but always thought it was the tobacco based ejuices I've tried (555, Marlboro, Dumaurier, Players) They all tasted very similar and had this weird taste to them. As for fruit juices those tasted fine with the cartomizers. I would love to get into diy, but i dont think supplies are readily available hear in Canada.

Thanks Dormouse,
Cocoa, never thought about it that way. I will have to check with my supplier if there's any cocoa flavoring in their tobacco based e-juice. I ordered a bunch of tobacco flavored ejuice from cdnvapor and to me its all the same. I later read on the forums that they get their juices from China, does that make a difference? Since then i haven't placed another order with them as I found out most ejuices I tried had a very subtle flavor, expect for the tobacco. I have now moved onto Juicy Clear, which I find is quite good, but don't really have anything to compare it to. My next step is to order from the US, but I'm afraid of customs holding my goods. Do you have any recommendations of good suppliers that have shipped to Canada without issue?

I wouldn't write off tobacco flavors just yet... one piece of advice... get SAMPLES. I hated all the 555 flavors and usa tobacco blah blah blah, most of them are terrible imo. In my journey I got stuck on halocigs.com juice, they have some super good juice. get a sampler from them if u want. right now I vape bobas bounty from alienvisions (look them up in the suppliers part of the forum)... this is all my experience. juice is subjective, just because someone says that one juice is good doesn't mean a dang thing imo. get SAMPLES, one thing i will say is get usa or canada made juice. the best juices come from mom and pop type suppliers, not dekang and all that china stuff. EVERYTHING I use except batteries is made here in the US. congrats on the provari, if you need something to use while driving, get something you don't have to drip in, it is very dangerous to drip and drive.
WELCOME TO THE ECF!!

Welcome to ECF and vaping! :) ProVari, very nice choice. :D Everything in vaping is personal preference. I've tried a plethora of things and continue to try new things that interest me.

I have to say tanks were a big surprise for me. I went from the fairly expensive to the very inexpensive and the latter are the ones I prefer. I can get 3 Chibi tanks from Parkesvaping for the price of one of other vendors. They aren't fancy, they just work and work well. :) I run my ProVari with an $8 tank on it and I'm quite happy.

Liquids are going to be VERY personal preference. We're all so different when it comes to taste. I wish you luck!!

If you can (and haven't), try the 1.7ohm single coil SmokTech cartomizers, either with or without a tank around them.

Again, welcome!

Hi Kingzkross

You definitely started your vaping journey on a good footing! I owned the Ego-T initially (which is still very good) but switched to a Provari after a while and I haven't regretted it for a second. Sure the startup cost is high but the device works beautifully, looks damn good and gives so much flexibility....couldn't imagine life without it! :)

Ive tried a friends ego-t and think that if I started with it, I would've gotten back into analogs. It didn't have that heat and throat hit that I loved in analogs. With the provari, there's room for adjustments. A nice light hit in the mornings and a heavier hit when its party time. The only downside is, i cant find a decent case/lanyard that could hold it without taking off the atty, cart, or tank. Either way its a very small issue, and ill take that any day.
