Finally got a charger and good batteries. I fired up the Provari and couldn't really tell the difference in vape or flavor that I don't already get off my spinner 2. Maybe it's just me but now I'm wondering why I spent over a hundred bucks on this.

How many ohms is the clearo?

And what voltage did you set the Provari to?

As general guideline this simple formula will usually get you in range.

Resistance (ohms) of carto/clearo/rba + 2

So a clearo at 2ohms would be set at 4 volts. A clearo at 3ohms would be 5 volts...etc etc

From there you can adjust up or down in 1 volt increments to taste.

The screen started flickering and so I threw it back on craigslist and got 170 for it which included the batteries and charger. The mini was cool for the 3 days I had it but was kinda small for my huge hands. I received my new Provari starter kit yesterday and am loving this sexy hardware. It seems it "hits" better than the mini also. WOOOOOOHOOOOOO I hope and can be in the provarinati club also...

Welcome to the provarinati Kloudz! Btw....My fully functioning extended mini hits like a champ...Lol...so much so that I have purchased four, two for family members....

This is because a standard length Provari and an extended mini both take an 18490 battery.

Ahhhhh ok...... very clever Mr. Mindee! :toast:

So I'm using the 18490 batteries that I bought with the unit for now and was just curious on how low the voltage on the batteries go to. When I pop a new battery in it reads 4.2, when the battery is almost dead the button flashed like crazy and the battery reads 3.2. Is this normal because I was thinking that when it was dead it should read zero or something.

That is the Provari working for you. You never want to fully discharge these types of batteries.
The battery has a better life if you put it on the charger before it fully discharges. 3.2 is normal :)

No that is normal...the Vari won't let you completely discharge.

Sorry Robin...just saw your answer...so...yeah....what Robin said!

Ok sweet, good thing I got 2 batteries then. Also was wondering what is the max amp rating on batteries that I should use? I've seen efest batteries in the 18650 form with a button top that have 2500 mah @ 35A. Or should I just keep it simple and stick with AW imr batteries and buy them from provape?
These are the batteries I was looking at Efest 18650 2500mah Purple

The IMR AW batteries are best for the 'Varis...no need to buy others for it.:)

Unless im mistaken the provari requires button top batteries. So keep that in mind when shopping

edit: I see those are button top

So I could use those purple ones if I wanted to correct?

They need to be button top, you say they are....Also, your standard Provari takes an 18490. Those are one size up...so you will need an extender cap to fit them.

20141022_210726.jpgOk cool so no amp limit then. I notice that if I screw the tank down all the way I get a error code of E1, so if I get a beauty ring will the gap between the vari and tank disappear and be more secure?

To the second question....yes the beauty ring makes the gap disappear but does not make it more secure....purely cosmetic that....

To the first question...e1 is an atty error....does it read the ohms of the atty? If so, tell me the reading....Also, what do you have volts set to?

Doesn't make a difference what the amp rating is. ProVari are designed to use AW IMR batteries and ProVari are regulated. I guess others will work, but not as efficiently and is not recommended by ProVape. If you want to sub ohm you may want to get another mod...

Pretty sure he is not vaping below 1 ohm...Lol
