The rules say I have to post 5 times in the new members forum so I figured I'd use this opportunity to get some questions out of the way.

I currently have a VapeOnly VPlum and an Eleaf iStick mini that are my main devices. (I have like a bunch of evods I use to test flavors before I put them in my good tank. I've only been vaping for 3 weeks and I went vape crazy trying to make sure I had enough stuff lol ) I wanted something stronger than the vplum but I think the vplum is actually stronger than the istick mini. The vplum goes to 16w but the the mini only goes to 5v or 10w. Am I correct about this or do volts work differently in these things ?

I also have Kanger pro tank mini 3's , Kanger pro tank 2 mini, ismoka mega , and a nautilus mini. Can someone explains the difference in the ohms on the coils? What's the best ones to use with my devices and what are the proper settings?

I'm sorry if I sound real noobie but that can't be helped. I am one. Lol

hi Nikups and welcome to the forum. I can't answer for the protanks but I do have 4 of the Nautilus Mini's. The Mini comes with either 1.6 or 1.8 ohm coils. I haven't really noticed that much of a difference in the Mini coils. I have an iStick 50W (love the 4400 mah) that I use to vape my fruit e juice around 12 to 13 watts (the iStick Mini can't reach that). I've seen some people say they vape their Nautilus Mini's at 18 w but it's too hot for me and I don't want to risk burning a coil and getting the dreaded dry hit.

With eGo threaded tanks I used to vape with the settings on about 9 watts.

With the "regulated" iStick, if you set the watts, the iStick will set the volts. On my iStick if I set the watts at 10, it regulates to 4.2 volts or thereabouts. 10 watts is very vapeable with the Mini, but you will probably want more watts down the road should you grow into the sub ohm tank world. I'd consider looking at the iStick 30 w (2400 mah) or 50 w (4400 mah) when you are ready to upgrade your battery. The controls operate just like your 10 w mini, very user friendly.

Good luck in your journey.

With a variable wattage device like you have the resistance (ohms) won't matter too much. The power of the system (wattage) will be determined based on the resistance and voltage. With the two batteries you have, they will adjust the voltage depending on the coil's resistance to achieve the set power. If you were using a set voltage device then lower resistance coils would result in higher power. If you're interested you can read up on Ohm's Law or check out steam-engine.org to use some calculators to figure out the power/voltage/resistance.

The proper settings are the ones that will give you the best vape. It's very subjective. Generally, I would say start out low and inch the settings up until you are satisfied.

Thanks so much for all the replies . I'm definitely going to get the istick 30 watt now. I need more vapor !!!! The juice just taste so good. I really like my vplum but the coils that come with it , 1.8 bvc do not allow me to turn it all the way up to the 16 w without a slight burnt taste. I can go up to 14 with no problems . The istick mini gives me the same vape at 4.0 v and I know that's no where near 14w.

So now let me tell you a funny story. I live in South Baltimore near Ft.McHenry. I'm native to here and growing up it was strictly a blue collar neighborhood. Now it's all white collar. I don't even know half my neighbors now because they aren't friendly. It's not the same here anymore. I was sitting on my front steps vaping and somebody called the police and told them I was smoking drugs. The cop actually said , coke. As soon as he saw my vape device he knew immediately what it was because he vapes. Lol He apologized to me for this over and over. Has anyone had anything like this happen ? Lol
