hi all,
i started out with green smoke witch did make me stop analogs but you all know the prices are extreme.
just received my VE riva 1100 deluxe kit and a vivi nova 2.5 with long wicks (1.8ohm, 2.4ohm, 2.8ohm)
with gold and silver juice all from "vape escape" site
and a malboro juice from freedomvape site used the -10% discount code > allabout with both sits

everything is very easy to use, but now to the point.
^^^^^^^^^^

i started one battery with the Vision Ego Clearomiser that came with it and filled it with the gold and silver juice ( 24mg, 70 PG, 30 VG )
>very nice throat hit , good amount of vapor , after taste isn't really to my liking.

on the other battery i used the vivi nova 2.5 long wicks with the one wick that was already on it > 1.8 ohm
and used the malboro juice (VG 60 , PG 40 , 22-28mg )>> only VG/PG mix there is
>very low throat hit, extreme amount of vapor , barely notice anything, no taste , no hit, just bad I would say.

so, first of I let both of them stand for a minute before I started so the wicks could do there job. 2 minutes or so.

1: is my bad experience with the one with the vivi nova on it have anything to do with the wick of 1.8ohm?
2: what would change with the other wicks with a higher amount of "ohm"
3: i assume i should stick with juices that have a high PG %, or is this to early to tell?
4: the gold and silver juice after taste isn't to my liking , know any without an after taste? (but still a very nice throat hit)
5: could my bad experience with my first try on the vivi nova be because of some noob mistake?
6: any other relevant comments remarks or suggestions are welcome.

friendly regards ,

bryan

Hey Bryan,

Good choice on the Riva batteries, they'll last a great deal longer than your standard 808s (Greensmokies) in terms of charge longevity.

Allow me to address your problems as you've typed them.

1.) One reason you may not be getting a good TH/Flavor/Vapor is because that even though the head says 1.8ohms, it could very well be higher. Personally, my 1.8ohm head is actually 2.4ohms. And, you're running them at around 3.4volts I believe, with the Riva, so, not much power is going into the mothersucker, thus causing a lack in said qualities.

Also, people have reported that, with the standard wicked heads, flavor is sometimes muted with some juices. While others report otherwise. You can rebuild the head/coils and I've been recommended to do so. Some say it's a difference of night at day.

I hate to recommend something that costs yet more money, but, I might suggest a variable voltage device. An eGo twist you can get for around $20-$24, and it can make the vaping experience much less of a headache and much more enjoyable. So, when you have the problem of not being able to get a good TH, etc, because the power is too low, you can always turn up the voltage, giving it that extra umpf you desire.

2.) As I had said previously, those heads are generally mis-labeled. The higher ohm heads will be even higher. My 2.4ohm head was 3.2ohms, and without a higher voltage or variable voltage device, I'm afraid that you may not find them to be very useful on the Riva batteries.

3.) This one is completely up to you. General consensus is, the more pg = generally more flavor, stronger TH, less vapor and the more vg = somewhat muted flavor (though I don't find this to always be the case), lighter TH (this either), but way more vapor. The best thing to do is to experiment, if you can, with a wide variety of variations. If you find something that works, stick with it!

4.) Anything with flavor will generally have an aftertaste, whether or not you notice or enjoy the said aftertaste is up to the individual. I could list hundreds of flavor suggestions, but I won't. My advice on this one is to read juice reviews and threads in this sub-forum and you'll see what the general public finds great (though you may disagree, which is ok), and might lead you down the path of finding your go-to juice.

5.) Nah. Not your fault, really. The heads are mislabeled, from my experience. How can that be any fault of yours? If you wish to use them, you could always rebuild the wick/coil, or try out a variable voltage, or, high voltage device. It'll make the Nova hit way better, in my opinion.

It's not easy getting your perfect setup down. It might be costly, but in the end, much worth it when you find your vaping zen.

If something is working for you, try and stick with it. If you can afford to experiment, try out some different vendors.

If you need any additional help, or any of this clarified, please let me know, I'm happy to help :)

As far as your juice selections, it's funny how most of us start our vaping journey trying to recreate the cigarette experience. We want it to taste just like our "brand" did. It really can't be done. The two are just so different. Embrace the differences. Don't limit yourself to "tobacco". Just my 2 cents. :)

I realize that , really
but I just want a hard throat kick with lots of vapor without any added stuff for example : apple, cherry, caramel , RY4, vanilla, chocolate, cotton candy , ect ..................... already buying all samples that may be for me at vape escape

on another note;
the vivi nova 2.5 on my PV seems to get better and better, the after taste is getting less (or im getting used to it , I don't know)
also noticed that when I press the power button I just wait a second before vaping for a mutch better result.
and
my empty green smoke cartridges can be refilled but I need a freaking screwdriver to remove the top :?:
the empty ones in the riva kit just need a paper-clip

Try some Halo juices. They are clean and thin and wick very well. Also you'll get lots of throat hit and flavor. Even if you never smoked menthol cigs, don't scratch them off the list without trying them first. You might be surprised how good they vape, specially when your taste buds go dead on you.

I live in Belgium , delivery costs would be 35.50 dollars or so
know any site that sells it from the UK or so
